Another thing to do instead of putting a coat of clear on it is to add PPF to it. Not only does the good PPF provide UV protection, it also protect the headlights against chips and debris. I have a car with an over 10 year old headlights, car parked outside for the last 5 years straight, and the headlights still look brand new. It's a much more cost effective and permanent protection.

I have some Rain-X headlight lense cleaner kit I got from Wal-mart for 10. Do u think that will work or did I waste my money? My headlight lense on a used car from 2005 has moisture inside. Thinking to replace the headlights lenses instead of using the product now after seeing this video. TY!

a 12 bottle of perspex cleaner is a much better option and a couple of clean cloths 10 minutes each side! = i cleaned cars for many years! - even good quality car polish works - try a little on a small corner of the headlamp and see!

I use Silverstar ultras too. One tip to prevent the headlight from clouding up in a year, LAMIN-X right after polishing them. I restored so many BMW headlights years ago and they are still clear today.

I just rub 'em down with polishing compound ever 6 months or so. Never gets so bad in the meantime to be objectionable, and takes about 10 minutes total. I apply car wax over the treated surface.

Hey Eric! Question: are you using the same gun for both sanding and polishing? If theyre different, whats the difference? Sander is random orbital and the polisher just spins? Thank you much!

Don't forget that if this is a 9005/9006 set up, 9011/9012 can be modified to fit with minimal work. That and a four-high relay mod made a world of difference on the Impala I owned.

Totally agree on the clear coat. I did mine and followed the ChrisFix method. Used some spray clear coat. That was 3+ years ago.

Try GE nighthawk platinum. I actually ran a test with light meters of every bulb on the market. GE won. Made in USA, too!
