Trinity wanted everyone to see the tricks she has been teaching Weston. If you don't know who Weston is, he is our 10 month old German Shepard. He is very play and food motivated and has perfect energy for kids, not to mention he is pretty smart

My Grandpa passed away this morning. What's crazy is SMA posts a really cool dog trick video, and my Grandpa was the biggest dog (and all animal) lovers that ever walked this Earth I do believe. The Lord works in mysterious ways - but I swear, this is a sign and I'm not ignoring it. I think in a weird way this video coming out when it did (and having the content that it did) was like my Grandpa's way of saying, It's OK! I'm in Heaven now and things are great! Thanks SMA!

The child is doing the right thing for the dog. Skip the sarcasm and let her show how a child can train a smart breed with a trainer showing her what to do and why. With 3 through CGC certification and having handled dozens in shelters and dog rescue events and every day. I understand how few folks ever take even 1 basic class all the way to completion.

all of my dogs have been trained with verbal commands coupled with hand signals. Dogs speak body language naturally, so they easily understand hand signals. You can add a hand signal to any of the commands he already knows. Example would be to make a circular motion with your hand while speaking round. He looks like a great companion.

Pretty good job young lady. My only recommendation is start your commands with his name. Always name then command. That way when you have more than one pooch you can work them separately. Maybe one more tip, add hand signals. That way you can communicate at greater distances or when conditions make audible commands difficult.

It s cool that your daughter is interested in training your dog. I used to work in a garage stores department and a guy had a dog in the workshop if you went in with your overalls on you were good but if you went in without them the dog would bark and chase you lol.

Trinity is sure growing up fast, I have a 15 month old Staffordshire bull terrier and she is no where near as calm as Weston, but she is very clever and picks things up fast, positive reinforcement totally best way to teach a dog.

That s pretty awesome. My daughter taught ours sit, lay, spin round, roll over, paw, wait, speak, she also tried shame but gave up on that. I taught our dog a more useful trick. Shut the door. She is pretty good at it too.

Well done Trinity, that's brilliant. I tried to teach my dog to get me a beer from the fridge - he never really got the hang of it but now whenever I go out he opens the fridge and ears everything in it!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
I miss my Shepard.
She used to do the same tricks, but I've NEVER seen any other breed with this focus!
Again AWESOME!
