People actually drive that loud cars voluntarily? After I put my El Camino together it was loud outside. Too bad it was loud also inside so it got old real fast. I installed better mufflers and now I can actually listen radio while driving and my ears don't ring after a drive! Not car, but motorcycle. Still remember this one older guy that came to a meeting with quite loud motorcycle. His every other word were 'what'.

I heard you mention K-cars. I had a trick to them in the dealership. I didn't use the lift, but just raise the rear of the car and put it on jack stands at the pinch welds. With the suspension topped out there was plenty of room to get the pump out, and being above the center seam, unless it was plum full, it wouldn't lose very much at all. Gas still made it to my armpit even on a creeper though.

I dropped a gas tank on a Jeep Cherokee about 2 years ago and when the gas came back to earth (me in between) I turned my head to avoid getting it in the eyes and instead, got some in my ear. Do not, I repeat: DO NOT EVER ALLOW GASOLINE IN YOUR EAR! Eyes, not too big a deal, but gas in the ear is like an ice pick to the head.

Here's a crazy question and I have no clue because I know nothing. But my dream car is a 57 Chevy Bel Air I want a four-door not the two-door. But that being considered I know they came with a small block. But would it be possible to actually put a big block 572 in it what would have be changed or would there be better options?

Well what do you know, the first car I've seen that could be called Chevvy Thunder. It is amazing that you can get nearly 1000HP from a 1600CC F1 engine or nearly 400 HP from a USA 6000cc? I wonder why fuel prices are going up in the world, must be all the Chevvy's firing up at once
Regards as always

Hi, Eric O. Thanks for the fuel pump video. I wonder what parts of an American car are still made in America. Americans are no longer capable of competing with worldwide labor prices, at least until workers elsewhere get paid more. I wonder what auto labor is paid in Mexico? Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!

Listening to the rumble of that Vette had me yearning for the days when I had my 1968 396/375 Camaro. Traded my Camaro for a wife and got a 1977 Monza Town Coupe with a whopping 84 horsepower I think. The Monza was the rich mans Vega LOLOL Hated that car.

Let me get this straight. she runs the shop all day. Talking to customers, taking care of orders and doing the accounting work. Then at night she makes you dinner and cleans the dishes too! You are a lucky man my friend. Does she have a sister. lol!

Quite a few saddle tanks use a similar setup to draw fuel from the passive side to the active side. Some plastic pipes & fittings are cheaper than a secondary pump! Presumably it has pretty much zero silencing on the exhaust?
