Would have just swapping the cover for a new one and filling with oil worked do you think? It all seemed pretty normal on inspection? (Want to phrase this as a DIY scenario - clearly as a business you don't want the customer coming back 3 months later with it failed after a cover swap if there was potentially a damaged bearing. This looks good for another 100K)

Lemme tell ya, Eric, those of us who turn our own wrenches know the FakeFix vids are. just that. You teach us more in one video than those guys have in a decade. Thanks for always keeping it real and helping all the rest of us here in the real world. We appreciate it!

I showed my wife how you heated the bearing race and it dropped down from the shaft, she wanted to know how that worked and i told her it was magic, can you verify please. Also, great George reference.

Man that was cool but that 2 pole lift made me nervous you tugging on that rear-end, I just knew I would end up seeing the video of it falling off the rack on Just Rolled In. lol

I would have expected the sliding surfaces on the gears would be perfectly polished. Every worn in set I've ever seen is like a mirror they've been so polished.

Yeh, Eric. Saw part one and then cliff hanger. Now I get to see re-assembly. That thing was stuck like an old Mazda cv shaft! But you got it.

If it was me doing this I guarantee at 20. 12 the nut would catch and the pinion gear would spin and the teeth would rip my hand to shreds
