No EV's in parking garages lest the Lithium Ion batteries catch fire and then burn the whole place down. Ever see a lithium fire? They take huge amounts of water to quench compared to conventional cars. Another reason not to buy them. Here in CT they're trying to pass a measure requiring all new cars sold to be electric by 2035. So far, the ruckus this has created has been considerable, and despite the Demo-Marxicrats in power, have been forced to reconsider due to the hue and outcry of the People. Might be coming to your state soon, so be prepared. OY! Missed The DAWG music for Big Nasty for a long time!

Another great Video. My wife owns a 2021 jeep wrangler unlimited willys. Jeep just pass 10000km ( yes from ontario canada eh) And having major tire cupping issue. Dealer said my fault for not doing tire rotation lol. I told them you can't fix it then I will. Put it on my hoist and turns out the front right u-joint clip was out of it s groove so the u joint wasn't running concentric. I replaced the u joint and install the clip correctly and replaced the Firestone with BFgoodrich and never had any issues after.
Love your videos. You are a top notch mechanic!
Cheers

You went to Le Bernardin on 51 st. Yeah that is a serious upscale place. The EV s are too heavy they had a collapse downtown a few years ago because they loaded too many EV s on the roof of a garage. I was a chauffeur to wealthy people, they went to LeBernardin all the time. I prefer dive bars! Great video. My 2016 Wrangler had the front driver side Axle seals go 2 years ago under the extended warranty.

Winces at the hammering of the sockets. Also from the rust belt, but thankfully the nuts/ bolts im dealing with still are the correct size from the factory (exception of some oil pan and transmission pan bolts that rusted out along with the steel pans)
Ah, chrome capped wheel nuts. A reminder to get replacements for one of my vehicles to solid one piece ones

8: 57 No EVs. That's because they are prone to catching fire for no reason and when they burn, it is very hard to put those fires out, especially in a crowded garage in the middle of the city.
Something that the electric vehicle proponents don't mention when touting them as the greatest thing since sliced bread and the saviour of our world.

I wish axle manufactures would stop with the internal seal nonsense. I don't mind visiting NYC. Michelin three star is nothing to sneeze at. I bet it was delicious. I've had some absolutely disgusting pies in NYC. Which gives you street cred. Because only AFTER you mention one or two shit places will the locals tell you where to go.

Again 7: 49:
Humans are by nature social animals and need and want the company of their brethern.
There's tons of things to do in NYC at any time of the day that you couldn't dream of doing in a small town.
That's why most people embrace cities.
But, I'm like you, I like being near but not with a lot of people.

No EVs is going to become a thing. Although they don't start on fire any more often then a ICE automobile, when they do go up they burn hot and conventional fire suppression is worse than useless. They also produce toxic smoke you do not want on your clothes, skin, or in your lungs at all.

I envy you, where you live. Where I live in South Jersey, it's becoming wall to wall people. All a PITA. When I was a kid, 70 years ago, we were lucky to see a car once a week drive down the road by our house. There is such a thing as the good old days.

Had that parking problem with 91 Ford 250 single cab. 4x4. I took the f250 badge off. they never questioned that it was diesel. But the radio antena would hit the ceiling and if it had 80 psi in the tires. It would also set off all the car alarms lol.

No EV's in their garages due to the low probability, high consequence fire risk of an EV in a parking garage. Ala Luton over in the UK (It was a diesel/electric hybrid) that caused a fire that took the garage and 1000+ cars out.

I need my personal space and plenty of it - thank God I'm a country boy

The EV thing is primarily because it seems they like to spontaneously combust. N. C. from what I'm hearing is telling people not to park in garages connected to their house. That's is a great selling point. LOL

Mr. O, you were 30 min from me! I m over the GWB in Bergen County NJ! I don t travel into NYC much at all for the exact same reasons you mentioned. EV s are a MASSIVE fire hazard! Could wipe out the entire garage.

WOW such a new Jeep to need U-joints. thats disturbing. my 94 XJ never needed ujoints even at 200k this speaks very badly for newer jeeps. Of course. mine had grease fittings so maybe thats the difference.

No EV's? Watch a few of John Cadogan auto expert or StacheD's Training videos on EV fires and explosions and it will become apparent. The Jeep 4xE seems particularly suspect for potential to self imolate.
