The original part had paint on it, didn't assist in keeping it from failing so I can't see how not painting it would make any difference other than match the colour of the vehicle & besides you only see it when the door is open, you put a coating of some type of rust retardent on it (I assume that's what was applied with the brush) Probably better than the factory paint anyway Cheers Eric O.

Don't think I'll ever be doing this but I enjoy learning new things. Well done. Off subject, I noticed you doing something that I've caught myself doing along with observing others. When you verify the ratchet direction you like myselff and others, do it at least twice if not three times. Nothing meant by this, just an observation. Thanks for sharing your time and expertise.

You talked all about that Fluid film and how you're going to do the van after. I want a update on that pickup of yours that you took to Krown rustproofing and then updated it with that Fluid film one time on camera. Are we EVER going to get a rust or lack of rust update on camera? If you don't own it anymore just say that but come on lets see it on camera on the hoist.

MouseMilk Application
Frozen Studs and Bolts Apply MouseMilk to the threads near the frozen fastener. Allow MouseMilk about 15 minutes to penetrate into
crevices and loosen parts. For best results warm fastener before applying MouseMilk (Warm to smoke point of product, do not expose to direct flames)

Hey Mrs. O. Hmm, I've never seen a Honder door hinge video before. Too bad the kitty showed up after you finished the Honder. You could have done a Cat Scan before you started the job. Darned it! I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

Some years ago(39) when I bought my first car, the dealer(s)/shops I took my car for service would always lube/grease all the hinges (hood, doors and trunk) as part of the free service.
Mr O has instilled some faith back into the automotive industry.

When I saw that working area and saw you switch to the open end of the wrench I got upset for you. I absolutely hate using the open side of a wrench. 1/8th of a turn at a a time. No thanks. Great video. Thanks for the amount of videos you've been doing lately.

I have installed several of those hinges and have only painted a few. No problems here HOWEVER I have heard of snow only in stories. It snowed here 1 time in my life and that was the great storm of 89! There was snow here for nearly 8hours one day! Never since

Those Siennas were/are like Sherman tanks. They just go forever. We had an 08 bought new and sold it just a couple years ago - I'm convinced she was barely broken in. The sliding door was acting a little sticky, but worked. Thanks as always, Eric!

It looks fine, the only time its visible is outside when the door is open, I might have used some Molyb dry film lube in the track and on the roller bearings (if they aren't pre-lubed) as a dry film lube doesn't attract dirt.
