Pretty country around there.
You and the Mrs. are a gas together. When you two are together in the shop, there are a lot of interesting. um. things said. Things that don't pertain to fixing the car being worked on.
It isn't the major things you show while working on a car. But the little things someone might not take into account. Such as not putting a pig tail in the brake line. Just little things like that.

Thanks for the folow up on the axle seals. Need to do trans flush and seal change on my sisters Camry before too long. Found out today that my land lord and good friend of 15 years passed away this morning. I'm feeling very beside myself. He was a very old school guy, much like yourself. He taught me some good old school tricks, and even let me borrow some tools when I got in a pinch, solid guy.

Good idea in going with both U Joints (while you are there) as only doing the one that was bad just doesn't seem like the correct methodology when the labor is mostly already being paid for. Sure wouldn't be the smartest thing to do in not buying the second U Joint and a month later, its time to. Love those nylon tie straps with the Christmas tree to secure something down.

Another outstanding video. Informative and interesting. However, have to say a bit disappointed that you didn't film putting in the other internal axle seal. Based on the interchange between you and Mrs. O during the install of the first seal one can only imagine how informative it was installing the second seal.

What a beautiful place you live in. Those winding hilly roads are just phenomenal! It's worth the rust.
I do have to say you do a complete job when rebuilding pigs like that, such a great team you and Mrs. O. My wife is a lot like her she will dig in whenever necessary even though I have less patience than you.

I swear those giant-ass sockets make the best seal drivers. I have a bunch from Montgomery wards. remember them?
Your little drive at the end reminded me so much of my family who lived in Rome, Lee and West Leyden. They are all gone now or moved away, but it was a nice reminder.

I use a spreader hooked on to one of my porta powers to install this seal Eric. These porta powers have bent many a Ford truck axle back in the old days when I bought my first alignment machine. Watching your jobs makes me glad my shop was in North Carolina.

They have a great relationship, something we need to see more of. Mrs. O has just enough sass to keep Mr. O in line and is great partner, he does the physical work she keeps the office in order and Mr. O well fed.
Have you 2 gone deer hunting yet this season?

Great job. Smooth running.
The Jeep looked fairly clean underneath. Hopefully the owner's using what you use under your vehicles.
Nice start today.
Beautiful drive, lots of farmland, really nice looking area.
Good one Mr. O.

Sure wish you and the lovely Mrs. O would pack those kids up and move down to Atlanta, TX. We damn sure need a good mechanics shop, and the climate (meteorologically and politically) would likely be better for y'all than the PRNY.

Here's a mechanic with an on-the-go lifestyle. One day, dining at a three-star restaurant in Manhattan. Next day, getting a Jeep back on the road. Another reason to be grateful we live in the USA, where hard work can be rewarded.

I've used a bar clamp (cheap little 8 job you use for woodworking) as a makeshift case spreader. Spreads it just enough to get the diff in and out without too much drama.
Awesome vidjeo, as always.

Looks good Eric, Thinking here in Sch'dy if you had added a 3/4 X 1/2 reducer in the socket would it help hold/line up the pipe? Just a thought. Got your mittens on 2day.
