DON'T BUY THE TIGUAN AS IT HAS A LOT OF ISSUES AND DEFECTS THAT VOLKSWAGEN CANNOT FIX!
Welcome to my hell. I leased a 2018 VW Tiguan last July and have been battling with Volkswagen since I got it with the B pillar noise (both sides, engine stalling, and the horrible jerking of the vehicle after releasing the gas pedal. There is a factory defect with Tiguans where the pillar was not properly welded together at the plant so when the vehicle's body stresses it clicks. I have taken my Tiguan to get this and the other defects taken care of and Volkswagen has no solution. I have discovered that the local service personnel are just as frustrated as they are stuck waiting on Volkswagen engineers to come up with a solution. I opened a case with VW of America to buy back my Tiguan and after months of back and forth nonsense, VW of America basically said that is the way the Tiguan functions so too bad. Once again Volkswagen has cheated their customers by ignoring a defect and not fessing up to it. So either we all get together and complain to Volkswagen, better business bureau or suffer. This is my 7th Volkswagen and my last. Good luck to all who are suffering with the Tiguans' defects.

Would you choose this or the Peugeot 3008? From what I've seen by many reviewers the consensus seems to be that the 3008 genuinely is a good car.
The interior is very dull on the Tiguan compared to the 3008. I am looking for a new car atm and I'm leaning towards the 3008. What do you think? Or are there other rival SUVs worth looking into?

I like it when he does the forget it, think about it, consider it, or just buy it end to his reviews tho I think I've only ever saw him say just buy it twice lol like the tiguan will get something in the next 4-5 months just not sure what yet like the seat ateca, vw tiguan, volvo xc60, audi Q3 just can't decide which I like best lol

can someone translate the sentence ( at 5 Mts. 32)-If you have a spare wheel. etc etc. -. I work as an interpreter from Spanish and Italian and this is so difficult to render into English. Even the 'southern drawl' in Italy and Spain is easier to understand. Otherwise wonderful presentation Mr Watson. Slow down your presentation

Tiguan is very practical but very dull and boring looking. Which I prefer over flashy and unintuitive like the bmw cars. Sometimes too much gizmos and bling is unnecessary waste of money and which tend to have many problems. I like high tech but I don-t like the interior of the car to look like the cockpit of the millennial falcon.

Keep hearing about jerkiness when manouvering at low speeds in the latest VWs with DSG, the reason is there's no creep facility and that's why I won't be buying the latest Tiggy. Apart from all the new bells and whistles the quality is no where near my 2015 Tiguan.

I had a test drive in the SEL, which comes with the massage Seats. I found the drivers seat not that comfortable and after a short drive, had a numb bum. Seat base felt gard compared to the Skoda Kodiaq SEL seat

They should really make LED headlights as standard or an option on the base model. Some people really don-t want all those extra features and to get LED you have to go to SEL

Old fashion halogen head lamps he-
I'd rather have that.
LED lamps are over bright and don't shoot far enough but halogen lamps are bright enough and shoot really far.

were they able to fix the suspension of this model compared to the older generation model? the bounce when going down a rough road feels really wiggly and not very compliant
