Wait car that costs way more, has way more power and torque, is lighter, has also 4WD, has better wheels, real RS model is actually faster? Who would say that? So un expected. Not. I hope one can appreciate not jokes. There is no comparison in there. BMW does not make a real M car in 4 series Grand Coupe. Hence or you go compare that poor 440i with S5 or go and compare RS4 with M3 as those are comparable cars. This means nothing. You could have taken M diesel model to would loose to. Imagine all fake M models are slower than real M models and slower than real RS models. Strange that RS line up started by Audi getting huge help from the Porsche to get some of the action. All of them have racing oriented heritage.

That B58 inline 6 twin scroll Turbo engine is arguably BMW's greatest achievement. Whether in the m240i or the X5 it's just fantastic. As a DD, it's surge of low end torque is awesome with almost no lag whatsoever. Once I get rid of my Golf R, the F22 m240i is a must-have for me. One of my favorite cars to drive.

Matt and Yanni classic Audi v BMW races. great poking of fun at each other. I'm a fan of of both car manufacturers, that being said the audi should have pulled on the the lesser BMW on every race at that price point. I'm assuming better gearing on for the BMW and less drive train loss with the rear wheel drive BMW.

I'm a massive RS model Audi fan id have one over any of the comparable bms or mercs. But I just wish they were less sensible. The potential of that car is completely ruined by ze German sensibility. Soft limiters and saggy gear boxes. However a bit of tuning and they're faster than the others could EVER be

Ah the BMW is an all-rounder, fat, ugly and slow. Well done. Can't believe we now have a 1. 9tonne 4 series, what a disgrace. Would buy the Audi any day of the year or pretty much any other performance car for that matter.

They are almost the same except the fact that m440i isn't the highest performing car compared to RS batch. The fact that BMW m sport (and not M power) managed to keep up with RS performance scares the hell outta me

The rs5 should be way ahead in every test not winning by a tiny amount. Considering the m440i's rival is an s4 and it is so close to an rs5 is kinda embarrassing for the rs5. Only good audi atm is the rs3

440i twin turbo Matt? Have they changed the B58, because it's always had a single, twin scroll turbo, not twin turbo. You might be right though, I know my m140i has a twin scroll

RS5 doesn't quite match a C63 and M3 but not much faster than an 340i/440i m. Not worth the premium this RS. Looks good though, prefer the pre-facelift look.
