Everyone is obsessed with diesel! I found the 2. 2 i-DTEC has a fair amount of turbo lag and was also very noisy at tick over. I can't comment on the 1. 6 diesel as I never test drove it but for a car this size and weight I feel a 1. 6 will be working rather hard. The 2. 0 petrol can still shift if you put your foot to the floor, it just doesn't feel like it because of the linear manner upon which it accelerates. It's a far more refined and relaxed drive which suits this car. The CRV was never about performance, get a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT if you want all out performance in an SUV at similar money but be prepared for woeful reliability. I do wish Honda offered the 2. 4 petrol in the CRV in the UK though.

Hope this ones infotainment system actually works, traded my brand new CR-V less than six months in. Sometimes the system wouldn't even turn on, just a black screen. I see they didn't move the USBs from inside the center console; heaven forbid you actually put stuff in there. Found it a hassle to plug and unplug the USBs while driving; when the unit kept saying cable disconnected. When it clearly hadn't. Lovely car otherwise, as long as you literally only use it for driving to places you know. I do miss the space!

Ignore the comment about the engine. ive got the petrol engine with 5 speed auto. It-s quiet and smooth and sounds good when revved, I test drove a diesel it was noisy vibratey and not as good. also any more than six gears is too many. Drove an e pace jag with 9 speed it starts off in 2nd and doesn-t use all off the gears, it-s just too many.

Your review about every single car slow boot opening is annoying me. If you are claver enough don't you think it's for safety concerns so you don't bang your head or Face -. The car manufacturers can put one with 1 second opening option but do you think that is safe. So think before you review about boot.

Honda CR-V has a great engine range!
1. 6 diesel turbocharged
1. 6 diesel twin turbo charged
2. 2 diesel turbocharged
2. 0 petrol non turbo. Which if you ask me is the best!
What more range would you want? Plus it-s a very very reliable car! Cheap to maintain too.

Front passenger seat leg room is so pathetic that if you are 6ft and over forget it and I would even say you would struggle at 5-9-ish. I wish these reviewers gave more thought to the legroom in the front especially if its mean to be about a comfy ride!

The new Honda CR-V, is plagued by a potentially dangerous engine problem that could cause the small SUVs to lose power or even stall, petrol is diluting the oil. There is a huge class action in America it effects the 1. 5 turbo petrol.

New model out in 2018 - The seats are comfy, but on longer journeys I find they lack support and get really hot and uncomfortable, lots of space, a little bit like the golf in a different sector does a good job but a little boring

I don-t mind the noise 2. 0 litre petrol engine with a manual transmission but the question is is the petrol engine worth it cause the uk has this shit ULEZ that-s the reason why I don-t want to get the diesel. Any help?

Just bought the manual 2. 2 Diesel EX. Very nice car to drive. Entertainment system is actually really good and has a lot of features which my gadget loving wife likes. Very quiet to drive and packs a punch when you need it.
