Still staid and boring as well as being illegally made and sold throughout the world for over a decade with deliberate hugely deadly toxic Diesel engines. VW petrol engines also fitted with cheat devices. Can-t trust or have faith in such a company with its huge industrial deception and fraud (13 Million totally illegal cars) who put it partly right in the USA after much pressure from its govt having to pay $35Billion in fines and compensation so far with several higher management employees sent to prison, but virtually nothing done for Europeans or anywhere else in the world as Merkel protects VW against further repercussions in the EU. Buy any other cars over these crooks.

Front grill really looks good gives it nice wide look, car is overall good looking, if you look insignia its really pretty car so is mondeo or 508, but when you sit in passat there is quality feel that you dont get from competition, 2. 0 tdi is so good, everything works perfect and thats why passat is best in class, its really just so good for its money, and best thing its really nice to drive in way that it feels much smaller than it is, and comfort is great and it will hold value after many years

I actually whiz down back roads in my VW Passat Estate o_O Also the adaptive suspension has advantages over the normal suspension even if you always keep it in -normal- as it can adapt to all kinds of situations like adapting the rear shocks based on bumps the front felt or to reduce body roll while cornering (even in comfort mode there's usually shockingly little body roll even when cornering hard. The normal suspension can't do any of these things.

Worst car i have ever bought! Automatic gearbox can't decide which gear it wants to be in, satnav is terrible, stop-start system dangerously cuts in when turning slow in corners, the car can not handle driving in the snow ) And worst of all: the rear brake discs had rusted so badly after just one year they had to be replaced. VW didn't give a monkeys, tried to tell me it's a wear and tear item. never again VW.

After hiring one of these for a 1000 mile round trip to Glasgow In R trim I would say the road noise is considerable and the seats re not great for long distances. However good fuel economy and steady motorway cruiser. However active cruise control is prone to emergency braking on the motorway for no good reason.

Not sure I'd rush at a VW now. I ran a B6 estate for 3 years outside warranty and the reliability was horrendous. To make matters worse it was costly to fix. Apparently I'm not the only person to experience issues with this model. Buy something else, BMW, Ford, Mazda etc. Lots of choice in this sector.

I had one of these off Europcar for 12 hours, it broke down, was replaced with another one with 213 miles on it, the interior was falling apart, then it broke down, less than 48 hours and 2 broke Passats, they replaced it with a 508 with 14k on it, never broke in the 3cweeks and 3 thousand miles I had it

Disappointed this isn-t available in North America - while I love the Golf Sportwagen, it-s just too small in my opinion. I love the midsize sedan-turned-saloon (Mazda6, Passat, A4, E Class, etc) but for some reason North America doesn-t and it pains me to see such a nice car not available here

Man, I like wagons, and I think this car looks pretty nice. They dropped the Passat wagon in the US in 2010. I would totally get this as the family mobile but I got the Jetta TDI instead. The Jetta is much smaller but pretty fun to drive. I like wagons better than all of the -cross overs-.
