The virtual cockpit display will loose power by time as each pixel -wears off-, after some years the light it emits will be more than halved and that makes a considerable difference in daylight. VAG doesn't operate with pixel guarantee so your basically on your own there. Also, at night it's very bright, making it quite annoying and harsh on the eyes and there's no adjuster. I would choose the traditional analogue display.

I-ve owned one for about 2 years (and buy Rapha clothing so Mat-s spot on with that bit) and covered about 28k miles. Mine has the 7 speed auto, 190 BHP diesel, and is the S Line version. I agree it-s amazingly quiet on motorways. I get about 50 mpg and can stretch it to 60 mpg on long journeys if I-m not in a big hurry. I recommend getting the matrix headlights - they-re amazing.

interesting. he keeps saying -there's this and there's that- (about downsides) but right away excuses the car for that with something like -but it's not too bad- or -it's not really a problem-. it's an audi.
If he was reviewing a french or italian car. different talk we should expect

Can you please comment on the Matrix headlights? I am looking at a second hand B9 S4 with very low km but it doesnt have the matrix headlights. I've heard the standard headlights still have auto high beam but how different are they from the matrix headlights?

I love this car. I have a 2. 0 tdi with 190 hp s line quattro and it is awesome. It is comfy, but when you punch it to the floor it launches like a space shuttle. The virtual dials are just on another level. Great car for families and everything else you need.

You still review quite many manuals, are they still that popular in the UK? The car is equipped with the expensive cockpit navigation, 3-zone climate control, led headlight - but no automatic gearbox, I think that is very strange configuration.

Why bother to design a smart dash and then ruin it completely with a sticking-up infotainment screen? The integrity of the ensemble is seriously compromised. Screen should surely be properly integrated or benefit from a pop-up mechanism?

-Carvow please stop advertising the diesel! It's so much dirtier than petrol engines and emit cancerous particulate matter. don't do the same mistake as the government and praise these climate killers please!

Nothing new from 2008. Merc. & BMW brought something new. This is not a new look. All Audi A4 from 2008 are just facelift of the original back in 2008. I hope they will show us sumething new in the upcoming years.

2: 38 I don't get it why is the ability to slide a bicycle in such a stand out point. My sister 2008 Auris can fit a bicycle easily with the rear seats folded (hatchback version, and so should the A4 non-avant version
