The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the latest in a line of beautiful saloons from the Italian marque. Sadly, many of Alfa's recent attempts have just fallen short of premium German rivals as an overall package. So can the Giulia finally be the answer to the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4? Find out exactly what I think in my in-depth review

DONT BE BORING!
In a world of boring accountants, real estate agents that buy the Germans clones. great to see several car companies coming back. Jaguar XE, Alfa Giulia. even Volvo based on new offerings think the soon to be released S60 will also be a real competitor!
Punters. why buy what everyone else has? We now have some solid alternatives that make a statement (Please dont be boring support these companies. keep the boring honest. Re base versions!
So great to see real investment in alternative brands - Jag / Alfa/ Volvo! Keep up the good work!
DONT be GERMAN. dont be BORING!

Just test drove one for 24 hours.
Absolutely fantastic fun to drive, but there's A LOT of annoying quirks.
- Sounds like an HGV reversing when it beeps for locking/unlocking the car
- The side lights come on when you're steering at night, which distracts your eyes
- All the sensors are just overly sensitive. I was sitting still in traffic, and everything was beeping warning me of an imminent crash
- Rear seats didn't fold down in my model
- The plastics even at eye level are a little brittle and 'meh' - Nowhere near a C Class in quality

Its a fine car really. In terms of Specs and Execution of what is should do but in terms of INTERIOR Design, lots of it came and look from AUDI, BMW and Merc. Its very obvious what they have taken from where! The Dashboard is Merc, Infotainment is Audi. Center console towards rear and the control panels are BMW. At the End after all, they are AYY TA LIAN! So the Paddle-Shifters just like the F1 Ferrari! Still I wouldn't take this over a C63s but I would take this over a M3 Competition Pack.

I have to agree with all the other people on here, you see it in a picture and a video and you're like 'thats a nice looking car' then you go down to the post office and there's one sat outside with the lovely solid grey finish. You just sit there, stunned, admiring it like art for longer than would ever be considered normal. After which point all you can think to yourself is 'I don't know how and I don't care why I need to own one of these'.

In terms of the low res on the screen, it's a bit like when you watch non HD TV on a 60 inch screen, good telly but picture not the best. If you put it on split screen so have a smaller map and the navigational instructions on the right (which is better anyway) the res if good. It is just when you have the map across the full screen it is stretching the image.

I really want this car and will go for a test drive, being 6' 2-- and bit on the large size am I going have lots of trouble getting in and out? Have a horrible feeling I am going to be disappointed when I get to the showroom. Might have to wait a year before their bigger one comes out.

Now days, only relevant thing if some car is good or not is obviously infotainment system. Nevermind if car is solid built, drives sharp, looks gorgeous, makes better mpg. Germans are better because of higher resolution camera and 1 liter bigger boot. alfa is drivers car. audi is just a car

why do Alfa Romeo always choose these wheels as standard?
I really hate them they do the car no justice what so ever.
What Alfa need to realise is that everyone wants the
-Quadrifoglio - so they should at least dress the car to
look like one. It's all in the mind.

I first saw this car in a showroom 2 years ago and I just loved it. It's beautiful, and I hope someday I will own one: )
It's the first new Alfa Romeo that I want to buy and I like it, it looks like a real italian car, it makes me think about racing.

I'm a Alfa Romeo owner and lover but disappointed by this car as it lacks that Italian style outside and inside.
Can't but think reviewer is a bit Audi biased, but do enjoy his review overall.
Alfa Romeo, report card for you is could do better.
