-Incredibly Boring to look at.
-Boring interior.
-The least aerodynamic car of it's class(or very close to it.
-Average while driving.
-Not the best in terms of reliability.
-One of(if not) the most expensive of the class with equal equipment.
-One of the lowest in terms of warranty.
+Good practicality.
+Has a few -premium- materials which is the only category this car is above the competition and it's one of the most irrelevant in this class.
>And most people say it's the best small family car.

too biased towards the golf to be honest. in almost every review of the competitors it's all about golf this, but golf that. ppff
And about the 'nice quality' aspect, that only on the high end models, the more expensive ones. The standard versions already cost quite a bit and are very rudementary, stiff seatings and overall boring. Golf nowadays isn't just a 'volks'wagen, but a car for bigger wallets. period.

Sorry VW lovers. but i think this car looks exactly like the first generation vw golf did and all the others. it has been outdated for like 30 years. it-s over priced. it-s small. actually. it-s the worst in its class for me to sit in the back. it feels not good to drive either.
and all this i think is to apply to almost all vw cars. they all look the same as they did like 30 years ago. they all over priced. etc.

I dont see the point of the mk8 i prefer the old golfs climate system and physical buttons the 8 looks more modern but the front doesnt look good at all im a huge fan of the mk8's rear though. I however think that this golf only needed an interior update the mk7 facelift with the led hookshaped running lights just looks really modern and alao really good overall i think the 7 looks better then the 8

I detected a little shade when testing the new Corolla hatch. yes its abit of a squeeze inside due to the styling, and the infotainment is Toyota's only issue which is surely due to in-fighting with sub contractors, but the Toyota will last 20 years longer than a VW in 10! I love VW's and always have, but the darn comparo to other yotas and hondas it is inferior.

Every car gets slated against Audi and VW I've drive both and hated them drive the girls c3 picasso and it feels far better than them great mpg and reliability and far more room feels more expensive behind wheel so don't know why they get these great reviews to other cars they aren't all that at all and expensive as hell

this model is the worst to own. Engine light turn on and particel filter broke the cost to fix EGR valve 1500 Euro. Avoid VW Golf the worst cars on the market. The worst thing is that exhaust from engine coming in the cabin risk to poisson the driver! VW should be responsible for this issue! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Love that color! Sadly it can only be had on the Arteon and maybe the Atlas/Tiguan in the US. But I got my 2019 Golf Sportwagen in White Silver which is in its own right a gorgeous color as well. The Mk7 Golf is just a such nice car I love it. So sad that the Mk8 won-t be sold here except for the GTI/Golf R.

How good is the 1. 6 diesel in match trim? I need to choose between a 1. 0 new Focus/ 1. 5 Seat Leon and 1. 6 petrol Astra (200hp Elite Nav) or the Golf. I do a lot of driving as a teacher and journalist!
