I have a 2018 E220d Estate and I must say that I really do love everything about it apart from the new engine and gearbox. the engine has no power and relies too heavily on the turbo to pull it along, its rattly and harsh sounding, the gearbox hangs onto gears for too long going up steep hills (probably because at low revs the car doesn't pull) making a right racket. The engine is way too loud in the cabin.
I'm not sure who designed the cruise control, at say 70 I click up to 75 and the car will drop from 8th to 6th, give a kick and then change up 7th and back to 8th.
I could go on but I feel I'm already whingeing.
oh and I have had a 3 E Classes previous to this one, the last on has done 220k miles and it sounds and behaves better than my new one.
I am disappointed

I had one of these for two weeks whilst the company car was being repaired. Interior - definitely a notch above the BMW 5 touring series but I felt the seats in the BMW were a tad more comfortable. Had difficulty getting a comfortable view of the dial cluster despite numerous seat adjustments. Super comfortable ride, handling and sharp brakes. Auto transmission a tad hesitant unlike the 5 series. Boot space is enormous. Probably would go for a 5 series instead of the Merc.

I own a 2012 E-class estate and it-s just brilliant. Consider how much gadgetry they squeeze into them the reliability is Excellent, Never had any problems with it. For long journeys I couldn-t think about anything better exept maybe an S-class. Real wheel drive in the winter, no problems as long as you use the right tyres and don-t venture off-road. I had a fwd before and driving on snow it was horrible whilst the E-class just plows on. Next car? Probably a newer E-class!

What the he. ck. I am searching for Mercedes Benz flat fold back seats and I can not find any video on this topic. The only thing I know is that after the model 2003-09 they stop doing it. I am talking about the estate wagon, where you can sleep perfectly well on a long distance drive. After 2009 I think they stop making the back. seats completely flat. Wonder if there are changes on the newer models estates?

It's supposed to return 67 mpg (the saloon 220d 72) and many drivers actually get not so far under that with general use. You also speak of a 7 speed automatic, but I'm quite sure that it's been the Mercedes 9 speed automatic box ever since the launch of this W 123 E-Class.
I have to say, by the way, that I'm not used to you getting things like that wrong in your videos!

I like this estate a lot and adding it to my list for next year. I need an estate for space and this and the 5-series seem to have the most room. The V90 has lost about 20% of it's space versus the previous XC70 that I used to have. What's the point of having a nice looking estate when it has little room. Defeats the purpose of an estate.

I'm so excited because in a while my dad will be buying this car (not this exact one) but he is buying it with all of the features this one has. Burmester sound system, glass roof, Distronic and all the good stuff. and it has been my dream car for so long!

You shouldn-t be sitting in a Mercedes anyway as you seem to not respect the car whatsoever. You slam the doors like it was a tank furthermore you force the boot door to be shut. You should be sitting in fiat. That-s the wrong job for you anyway idiot

Has anyone switched from an e-class to the Skoda Superb or vice versa? And what are the pros and cons for each car? And yes, I know that the comparison is weird, but im considering one of them, because of the surprising quality of the Skoda Superb.
