I wish they would focus more on EVs. They can be just as much fun and sporty, more eco friendly, much cheaper and easier to maintain and more practical as you can use them for regular tasks like commuting without worrying about fuel consumption. And the enviro nazi. erm, regulators both in EU and US would be also happy. Win on all fronts. I had only Toyota cars until I decided to go for EV. I went for different brand as Toyota had nothing to offer. After going for an EV my mindset changed completely. I cannot comprehed why IC engines are still a thing when they are obsolete in every way except the sentimental value of hearing -vrum vrum-.

This car is beautiful. It really feels like Toyota has been listening to consumers and car enthusiasts. Nothing fake, no automatic, manual handbrake, sending more power to the rear wheels in sport mode, plenty of fun stuff on the car with not too much extra. Beautiful car but unfortunately I buy my cars with cash so I-ll probably never own one

50% of worldwide hatchback sales is Europe. and no Corolla GR in Europe. Shame and big mistake. Corolla because of its size is far more practical vs Yaris. Corolla would be sport car deal breaker here in Europe (especially with dreamed optional automatic gearbox.

You got the yaris, USA gets the corolla. I will trade you. a $40k corolla which has a body kit and 4wheel drive bolted to it with yaris brakes is not the same thing as a homologation special like the yaris. And it is a 5 door.

I so wish we were getting the yaris instead of a coralla with a waaaaaaaaaaaay smaller engine than the stock. But hey at least it will cost way more than yaris but be inferior in every single way.

Toyota is fast filling the gap left by Subaru. The Corolla/Yaris GR are in a league of their own, true modern drivers cars. Theres no need to compare them to Audi/VWs understeer lineup: )

Am I the only one that doesn't like the 3 cylinder engine that does 300hp. Toyotas are supposed to be reliable but I can't see that with this engine. It should've been 4 cylinder and 2. 0L
