New Lotus SUV in-depth walkaround!

Introducing Lotus-s first SUV - the Eletre! That-s right, the world-renowned sports car company is following up on the unveiling of the all-electric two-door Emira last year with this - its first-ever SUV! So this may not be the final production model, but it still show-off more than enough of what the final car will look like, with a seemingly Urus-inspired front through to a sloped rear-end and full-length light bar at the back! Take a step inside, and you-ll be treated to a pretty futuristic interior, with a minimalistic design that features a huge infotainment screen on the dash. The Eletre will be available as a four or five-seater, and should you choose the former, rear passengers will be treated to their own reclinable seat along with a central arm rest that includes a screen to control the infotainment. It-s set to cost from around -100, 000, which is closing in on Model X Plaid territory! But then again, the Eletre will have a top speed that can rival the Model X, while its two electric motors will be good for 600hp+ while also thrusting it to 60mph in under 3 seconds! So what do you think - will this be the must-have electric SUV of the future? Stick with Mat to see for yourself!

I think the screen is a little to big it looks like it would get in the way of your steering wheel! Thought the tires would be a little bit more rugged for all terrain tires, maybe a little bit of a lift kit on it. MMM it's electric so glad they're going that way so is everyone else. Another thing is if a company really wants to stand out the battery needs to charge faster and the mileage needs to be longer, if a company can work on both of those great. The mileage I think should be more around a 1000 to 1500 mileage on one charge anything less its going to be a harder choice but people are going to go with the one that has the longer mileage and quicker charger. Period.

Sublime geometry all wrong. It's not pretty just full of gimmicky nonsense. Man have Lotus dropped the ball. Emira should have been much better and this is awful. Surely with a budget this size they could have come up with better. The first reaction from the podcaster said it all. Embarrassing and sad. Does anyone recall the Esprit? Where are those days?

One thing that is always missing from car reports is, what happens if you get a puncture the goo doesn't fix, I believe Hyundai recommend due to the weight of these electric vehicles that they are picked up on a transporter then taken to the tyre repair shop, ideal if you have a airline departure to make. I would be interested if this was true.

I drive a very eco-unfriendly diesel BMW. No doubt this's gonna be my next car.
eco friendly ultimate electric. light as hell. relatively cheap manufactured in China
seat made of superlight and comfy wool, recycled carbon. thats impressive.
Goes over 450km per full charge. and 80% charge in mere 18 min.

We don't see much from Lotus here in the states, it is a shame another suv is hitting the streets I would have liked a wagon/shooting brake. But I'm sure the company has to stay afloat at least Lotus used a sharper knife to carve out there design from the modern bar of soap. Nice!

What a stunning looking car, both inside and out. I love it although I'd go for grey leather instead of cloth. Cloth is going to be harder to keep clean especially if this can go off road a bit. Fantastic work from Lotus though, hope they sell a million of them!

If I had a penny for every prototype car that looked like what goes into production i will still be broke. Until I see it on the road or in multiple reviewers hands this is as good as a CGI render of the same car.

The front looks unfinished somehow, good styling thow, it's a upgraded ev6, lotus has been killin it these days, affordable, electric, fast, futuristic is the target, and AWD for me, kudos lotus on first SUV

I remember when I used to love Lotus vehicles. According to this video, it was 15 minutes ago. The Emira is the last one I'll ever be interested in. The Chi-coms ruined the fun that Lotus used to be.

60, 000 for brawl
62, 000 for time
199, 000 for a lie
