Is the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS the ULTIMATE Porsche driver's car? Well, it-s time to find out! You see, when you look at the stats on paper, it seems like the GT4 RS could easily be the best Porsche ever produced. Under the bonnet, you-ll find a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six (no surprise there. However, unlike in the regular GT4, this is the same engine taken from the GT3, and as a result, it puts out 500hp & 450Nm of torque! What-s more, it also revs to a glorious 9, 000RPM- -- But of course, there-s still so much more to talk about! When it comes to the design, there are a number of changes over the regular Cayman & the GT4, from a carbon fibre bonnet & front splitter up top, to additional vents down the side and a massive carbon fibre at the back! Once you step inside, there-s Alcantara found throughout, although the infotainment system still isn-t the best- But then again, when you-ve got 9000RPM, who cares about the stereo! It costs from -108k, and the car we-ve got here costs -131k! But surely it-s got to be worth it, right! You-ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

3. 3 seconds from 0-60 mph with cold tires isn't very surprising at all. This is slower than Porsche claims from 0-60 mph. But we all know, that this is totally impossible for a Porsche, because every single new Porsche of the last 20 years has been much quicker than its claimed figures. The 718 GT4 RS would be much quicker than 3. 3 seconds at warmer conditions.
The 718 GT4 RS is much quicker, because it has the same power to weight-ratio like the Porsche 992 911 GT3, which has much better acceleration numbers.

Porsche claims GT4RS and GT3 have identical 0-100kmph and quarter mile times but Matt got better times with the GT3 (some test cars get worn tyres after lots of reviews but who knows. Another reviewer did the 0-100kmph in 2. 96. No reviewer has yet pointed out that Porsche claim the GT4RS is a FULL second quicker 0-200 kmph than the GT3.

Hmmm a drivers car with an auto, not my idea of fun, can you please do the same tests with a manual as that's so much more engaging to drive and makes you become 1 with the machine. I own 2 cars that never had an auto option, and I'll never look back.

Why do people keep talking about -pretty soon- there won-t being any more cars like this on account of everything going electric? The leftist green new deal people must be doing something right because so many are buying into that b/s.

Not offering a manual when the car is designed to be the ultimate weapon is crazy. It-s no doubt insanely fast but you can get used to almost any speed. Shifting gears should be more cherished in today-s world.

Oh my. My dream Porsche is quite unobtainable (991. 2 GT2RS) and this car might solved that problem i love this cayman GT4RS when i first saw its teaser review also here in carwow i already know it will be a beast

Carwow! If the car you are reviewing has a soft limiter, put the car in neutral and let it roll just the slightest then rev it. There will be no more soft limiter I do this with me C63 all the time

Awesome car, awesome review. Damn that looked like fun.
That 80 metres to stop is pretty sobering though. Not a high survivability rate if you hit a tree or solid stationary object at that speed.
