This is the all-new Honda HR-V, and Mat-s about to find out if this is the best value-for-money family SUV you can buy in 2022! So let-s take a look at the design. For starters, there-s no denying that the looks are much improved over the previous generation. From a full-length light bar at the rear to a body colour grille upfront, this is one seriously stylish family car. Take a look at the inside and the high quality continues, with a smart-looking dash and a pretty good infotainment system. Honda has even retained some physical buttons so you don-t have to do everything through a touch screen! You won-t have any trouble picking an engine either, as there-s only one - a 1. 5-litre petrol coupled with two electric motors to put down 130hp. There are also three trims to pick from, but otherwise, that-s your lot! So what do you think - is this the best family car you can buy for under -30, 000? You-ll have to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

I-m looking for a new car. I am leaning towards the 2023 Kia Sportage. I am in love with the interior. The exterior is Okay don-t think it-s going to age well. But the interior has me SOLD it-s beautiful no other car is coming close in that price range. However The exterior of this CRV is BEAUTIFUL (not a fan of the interior at all definitely falling behind other brands) but then I looked up the USA version --- why is it SOOO different. The states version is ugly. I guess I-m getting the Kia Sportage.

Whilst liking the car there is no way I could consider this as viable to my family needs. Unfortunately my wife has to use a wheelchair and I cannot get it to fit into the boot. The wheelchair is modern. with detachable wheels and is very lightweight but I find the boot space to limited both in depth and height. It is a real bind to even consider removing the wheels of the chair each time in order to stow it. If the boot had more height then it would work but not in this configuration. great pity.

I drive a civic with the fantastic 1. 8 non turbo engine. Looking to trade up to something like this. Having seen two in the metal I-m not a fan but it could grow on me. The strangled cow noise under acceleration would really annoy me. Coupled with the poor storage it-s a non starter. Great pity another missed opportunity from Honda but as Mat says they probably know their target audience.

I often wonder if these designers approach your average joe on the street to test these cars because the annoying things in these segment are like common sense things that can make owning these new cars that much better. For example the center armrest being useless in this HRV. That would drive me mad not being able to rest my left elbow on long drives.

I ordered this car after a test drive. Major flaw is the useless middle seat in the back, other than that it is brilliant. Not for people who constantly hammer the pedal, though. For people who like cruising and who like to set new fuel economy records without being really slow.

Looking at one of these. Am used to the eCVT system with having a RAV 4. The sport function does allow you to accelerate without the noisy over-revving. Just takes a little getting used to. Test drive coming up.

Old HRV: Better compact looking exterior, outdated interior, bigger boot space
New HRV: Weird rear slope, better dashboard design, smaller boot
But both models infotainment screen looks cheap

Can't lie, I hate that new intro. It just seems like old one was perfect, while this one doesn't sound professional at all in my opinion. Again, this is MY OPINION. Don't have to agree with it

Good looking car wish they put a bigger engine in it, not a big fan of the huge plastic wheel arches, it make the wheels look tiny and if its not a 4wd then whay imitate it making it high.

Way most people buy Honda good on gas and won-t break the bank for that price that-s what you get. It-s a nice looking car Honda needed a new facelift from the outside great I would buy it
