I think it looks over fussy on the styling. Too many angles & curves. The front isn-t in harmony with the sides or the rear end. The curves along the side look wrong with the boxy, angular lines of the front. And the price is just ridiculous, when it almost certainly had the same engine/transmission as the 530d.

Finally a worthy competitor to Mercedes Benz S Class Coupe, Would be nice to see the sporting credentials of the M version when its available. This and the upcoming BMW X7 (Benz GLS Competitor) helps to fill in some gaps in product range that BMW lacked in comparison to Mercedes Benz.

Why cant I afford this car, it looks amazing. I like that inside is not all touch screen like new A6, A7, A8. I like that BMW stayed with button and rotary wheel like in my new A4, way better to use then touching screen for every imput you make.

Another pointless car. Size of a bus yet no space inside. Hyper expensive yet no faster or better to drive than something half the price. 8 series died for a reason. I'd rather buy a used 6 series Gran Coupe and save the cash.

Guys. guys. when the old 8 series was out 20 something years ago it was a big looser and brought major losses to the company. years later turned out to be a winner. NOW its a living LEGEND. SCAR FACE theory!

The roofline and rake of the rear window look very Mustang-ish. Is this what Ford should have aspired to? I know there's a massive difference between the cars, but that design element seems so close.

I own an e46 M3 so I'm definetly a BMW fan, but I gotta say from some angles it looks really awkward and from the front it looks like it has a thyroid problem and is/or top heavy. meh

To be honest I've been thinking how BMW was clearly lagging behind Mercedes for the past 3-4 years in terms of design. Especially interior design. This looks fantastic.

WHERE IS THE HOFFMEISTER KINK FARK it would have looked so much better on this. Looks good overall, but there's is definitely some flaws in this design.
