I have to advise. -caveat emptor-, let the buyer beware. 18 months ago I bought a Q7 e-tron as a tax dodge, I could not give a Monkey-s
about it-s electric range, I bought it because, cynically, the Q7 e-tron defaults to a fairly respectable V6 diesel, whilst halving my company car tax. The rub is, when new, an industrial grade charge achieved 34 miles of electric capacity. After 18 months and 37000 miles the same charge now only achieves 21 miles and reducing. Imagine such deteriation in charge rates when you 100% rely on electric power. Another consideration is 240 v home charging is woefully slow and inefficient. My considered advice is if you are spending your own -hard earned-, dismiss the pc allure of electric, push the boundaries and buy yourself a solid traditional long term -keeper-, after all there will be far more fuel pumps in the next 20 years than charge points, and no queues there for. do not get me going on the charge point infrastructure argument. conclusion. electric is currently a con, a fudge and I for one will be going back to petrol in 18 months time. -caveat emptor-!

Tesla is the future
As much as I like audi and they've been my favorites for years. I own an S7 and S5. Yet I believe Tesla is way ahead of everyone's league, in regards to technology and what seems to work better for the consumer, and far more reliable.
My next car will be Tesla model S. It's time to support a company that had the balls to detach themselves from old dinosaur fossil fuels that only do is to enrich the 1% of the wealthy.
One beautiful example about how far is Tesla's technology in the electric realm is when Tesla remotely enhanced the battery capacity, and therefore driving range, of its Tesla vehicles for owners in Florida who were trying to escape the impact of the recent Hurricane Irma. That was sick; audi wouldn't be able to do something like that even though I still own two audi cars.

You know what I don-t get? A few years ago, you Tesla fanboys constantly screamed about how electric cars are better than gas cars in every way, and the whole goal of Tesla was to convert automakers to electricity. Now, you hate on every new electric car that is released by anyone other than Tesla. What is your goal? Do you want Tesla to be the only car company? Do you think that-s actually going to happen? Or are you just mad that Tesla is going to lose one of the things that made them special: being the only large electric car company.

i wanted to like this car so bad, its beautiful and thats about it, its 2019 if an electric car cant come close to 300 miles of range im not interested, i like the camera mirrors but im sure they are a gimmeck, 80% charge in 30 minutes is amazing but that means nothing if you have zero chargers in the US, and the biggest complaint of them all is if im going to buy an electric car i HAVE to have autopilot, i cant find any information anywhere that this will be equipped with autonomy, ill be skipping this one and looking into a model x

Automotive comparisons to Tesla aside, Audi cannot compete with Tesla's charging infrastructure in the United States. European manufacturers like to tout future fast-charging networks, possibly tied to the dealership network or a third-party provider such as Ionity, but as of 2019, those networks don't exist. Until you can drive across the United States in an Audi e-tron and charge quickly at numerous points along the way, in the same way as a Tesla, the Audi e-tron won't be taken seriously by the public.

I like the cameras instead of mirrors the problem is what's gonna happen if they stop working on the road? If they can make them good and safe enough that's a good thing. Apart from that i love reversing cameras thy are helping me way more than the central mirror which i rarely use now. Eventually classic mirrors will give their place to cameras and other technologies.

Tesla rival at Tesla prices. Hyundai Kona still looks the more affordable commoner's EV of the present (at least with similar range).
I will be looking forward though to the full specs of the Polestar 2 - fast, powerful, stylish and rumoured at almost half the price of this Audi effort. Here's to 2019. Come on Volvo - don't let me down!

I do love the design of this car very much, but I also love the design of Model X, especially the wing door of Model X which is the coolest quirk and feature I have ever seen in an SUV. I don't quite understand why there's so much hate toward Tesla. I only look forward to the competition between those EVs.

it looks good, but i am still waiting for a cheap(under 50 k 2 door hatchback that can drive the distance and recharges fast. thus kinda like a nissan leaf, but nicer looking and faster on recharge and better on battery life and then on the hot hatch that will follow up on that one.

Looks is subjective. And, to me, it isn't significant. I prefer the Model X better than the other SUVs. I like its cool doors and the blistering performance of the Model X P100D. I'd prefer to buy a Model X P100D and convert it into T Largo, for its higher interior quality.
