You keep saying that nobody holds the car in low gear. That is right, but under what real life situation would you be humming along at 50mph and then put your foot down. If your immediate thought is to overtake, then you had plenty of time to drop the gear. Of cause the other circumstance is you happen to be making a video race against an EV.
I love EVs, I drive them and will not go back to ice, but this seems a bit of a nonsense.

Testing at a 50mph roll is pointless. No highways in the US are 50mph. They're all at least 55 or 60, and anyone looking to -race- will probably be doing closer to 70mph already. Your rolling race should be at 70mph, not 50. You seem like smart people so I'm sure you knew that, but you also knew the Tesla's wouldn't do well starting at 70 so you started at 50 to make Tesla look better than they are.

Tesla cars perform great, currently better than all the competitors who have been into car industry for decades
But imo design sucks, they try to make it way too futuristic, with removing even the side mirrors. Interior, well, I believe my VW Polo has a better one.
Instead of placing 30 easy accesible buttons they place one large screen worth 100 bucks and save thousands on elegance and practicality.

I'm a Tesla fan but the Model X P100D model cost $138, 000 while the Audi SQ7 cost $84, 000. Put the SQ7 against a normal Model X which costs around $84, 000 as well and I think it would be more of a race. Put $50, 000 in performance parts into the SQ7 to make up the difference and we would have a much different outcome.

Now do this 3 or 4 times and the Tesla is going to die because every time the inverters getting hotter and hotter. RS4 getting also slower but not like the Tesla. Then you can compare it to a Corsa OPC with appr. 200HP and I tell you the Corsa is going to win. Lol

Funny how the only argument left from the petrol heads is. The Tesla is ugly.

Umm no, when I race i hold it in a gear. Only a screwball wannabe allows the car to downshift. Its like driving a manual trans in 3rd gear, then downshifting to 2nd before punching it. Feel free to call me to drive your car rookie.

I drive around in manual mode all the time I see someone who needs to get gapped bam sport mode downshift downshift and I'm gone you cant say it's faster without utilizing all its potential

Matt, is it possible when you give the times of the quarter mile and crossing the marked line is it possible to pass on the speed the cars are doing when they reach this point.
