DS9 of corse, different design innovative, not 30year old boring german design, like they dont know to make the egdes a litlle softer, i have a hdi engine that is excelent, very quiet, does not chug 1L of oil in 10. 000km.
Generaly every car brand haves problems, but for the german brand no one talk obout, god for bid to speak like that for german brands haha
And regard to China assembly of DS cars, China has better tehnology then Germans, they have 1, 2, 3 class of quality, of corse what the market demands they will produce, so when people hear ooo China, dont make me laugh, like i said they have way better innventions, gadges and tehnology then Germans.

You don't think of anything French or Chinese when considering a luxury car. Especially something small like the DS9 or with a small engine; thought they'd offer a V6 for non European markets. Looks like something definitely destined for Europe and China only. The Chinese will buy them as a locally built cheap car, and the small engine and car size might suit Europeans. I was shocked to read about the French laws and taxes on engine sizes. V8s and 6 cylinder motors are still popular here in Australia. May explain why Renault struggles to sell here.

That's not a fair comparison, the DS 9 should be compared to the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, that's probably where it's positioned. The car makes a good impression and the ride comfort should be first class again. The design language is attractive, but that's debatable. I find BMW and Audi fronts decidedly ugly.

To all those who like this car, please don't just talk about it, put your money where your mouth is. You want to see interesting French cars back again? People need to buy them. Same with sports cars, you see people cry out how few affordable sports cars there are these days, then they buy a crossover. Is it any wonder etc

The narration of this video and the obviously biased and discriminative way of describing the specs and features are just so annoying and painful to bear.
The DS car was ahead of it's time in the 1950s and still is in many aspects. The DS9 looks really nice and fresh. Car -experts- sometimes just say shit.

Yes! The car is in tune with my delicate French arse (excuse the pun, with its heated seats, massage facility and luxury leather. That goes to shows how the French, once you have surpassed the extremes of the national character, can create a fascinating creature of unique beauty. C'est la Vie! -

As a Star Trek fan, this car's name confuses me with the old Cardassian space station! :P
But anyways, the car. I'll give it look. Still would lean toward Audi or Mercedes. Not sure if the French would export this to America. But my luxury car focus is on the Kia K900 or the Genesis G80/90.

No car based on 508 can be considered S class rival. E class, A6, 5th series more likely. For me the more
- natural- progenitor of luxury brand from this group wold be Peugeot but. Renault Talisman on other hand while still in France haha in their top version are quite something i think.

Thank you gor the beficial video. I would definately prefer to buy this car than an mercedes e class, because it is as comfortable as the s class for the price of an e class. Don't forget that mercedes used to have a citroen cactud engine in the a class years ago.

All cars mentioned look good and sound good in reviews but the ultimate game changer will be the price for the DS9. If pricing is similar to the Germans then I will not pick a DS9. It has to be significantly, cheaper for me to consider a DS9.
