On the lookout for your next car? Head to to find the right car from the right dealer, at the right price. . When it comes to road-worthy rally cars, you-ll be hard-pressed to find a better alternative than the Subaru Impreza WRX STi! It may have first been released way back in 2004, but let-s be honest, given the latest Subarus have been pretty boring, you need to travel this far back to find one that-s worth reviewing! But does it still stand the test of time? Mat drove one of these when it was first released, but will he still be as impressed as he was 16 years ago? Stick with him for his latest review to find out!

I had a 2004 WRX PPP as I needed a hatchback and the STi was saloon only. Still a great car, so quick from A to B on the UK roads - sure a BMW M, Audi S or AMG Merc would have been faster on the track but on your average potholed UK road, the Scooby was awesomely quick (so long as you got the turbo spinning. It was made from recycled Coke cans though - I once put my hand in the wrong place to close the boot and left a dent in the bodywork. Interior was cack as well - as a friend of mine put it - -it's bloody fast, but it's still a minicab-.

I have the JDM version of the Bugeye STi, and love it!
Next week it's going in for some work to increase performance, incl bigger turbo, front mount intercooler, bigger injectors, exhaust change and am putting the unequal length manifold on for the Scooby rumble, and power should be going up to around 400bhp and 500nm, and I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do!
Mine is an Aspen White S-Spec one, is wingless and has coilovers in place of the stock suspension -

Here that car would be well north of 60k easily, prices here are ridiculous and people think they can ask it as well as dealers gouging even though they are bringing in models that can no longer easily get road cert, EVOs I have seen 9s going for 100k, here it-s crazy.

Could someone please explain, is the blob eye impreza wrx sti a 2. 0l or a 2. 5l because if you google it, it says 2. 5 and donut medias video says it aswell and matt says its a 2. 0 which i thought this whole time-

My 2010 Sti Hatch is still going strong, bought it brand new off the dealer floor. Have rebuilt the whole engine as a cosworth closed deck and its a beast that eats most cars I come up against

I had a 2004 STI Type UK PPP and that naff chrome lower grille definitely wasn't part of the Prodrive pack. Pretty sure the front splitter and mud flaps were also additional extras too

all the stuff you were saying about the rear of the car, like lack of cupholders, head rests and air vents, might be standard now, but back then, saloons never had those things
