It-s no surprise to anyone that cars are constantly evolving and changing. From supercar EVs to small SUV crossovers, cars which you-d never have seen on the road 10 years ago are becoming very familiar these days. Now of course, change can be a good thing! But on the flip side, the consistent release of new and different cars means some classic car types are now disappearing! Well here at carwow, we don-t think these cars deserve to be forgotten! From manual supercars to RWD hot hatches, we-ve pulled together a list of car types which are at risk of going extinct to ensure that they are never forgotten! The question is, if it truly is the end of the line for all these cars types, which will you miss the most? Keep watching, and then drop us a comment on this video to let us know!

Mat Mat Mat, please understand the difference between auto boxes and 'manual' boxes, just because you dont have to press a clutch dosnt make it an auto, the terminology comes way before 'robotised clutches' were invented, i think this is where the confusion comes from, an auto box has a planetery gear set, and a torque converter, a 'manual box has either helical or straight cut gears and a friction clutch, the means of changing these ratios has no relation to the terminology used to describe the type of gearbox, i really enjoy your content, but your continual use of the term 'automatic gear box, really grinds my gears.

Emissions are killing the cars that we know or used to know. Future will be electric/hydrogen but let-s still enjoy good old ICE cars while we can. Used to own a Honda Civic (not R) and loved the way it revved. I am shocked by the size of Civics now, especially the upcoming generation. Civics used to be fun little cars, now they turned into whales.

This is exactly why I bought my manual M140i as could see that big engined cars were disappearing, especially the manual ones. Absolutely love it, the sound of the straight six, rear wheel drive and the manual box all make for a great driving experience.

Never understood why people think high reving NAs have better throttle response than turbo cars. My e46 M3 has barely hot hatch power until at least 5k rpm. Even a laggy turbo would be on boost and building power before then.

Every car nowadays is a jacked up SUV but they submerge into deep-water in the countryside. Useless cars. If I want a regular vehicle buy an estate or hatchback, want deep-water performance buy an SUV.

When I mention the VR6 I talk about the 2. 9 corrado, not the disappointing 2. 7 golf vr6 which was a sponge and never took the engine well. Corrado VR6 is still the best Front wheel drive Na V6 EVER.

Hmm. VW is right that they can create similar performance out of a 4 cyl turbo engine but. my VR6 Corrado sounds better, feels better and it's more reliable. Same goes to the R32.

Hot hatches have become soft and boring now, as said in the video, FWD, up to a 2. 0 and leave it at that. piling on more and more power doesn't make the car any better.

If you are willing to include a semi-kit car (factory built or ordered as a kit, there still is a manual supercar, the Ultima RS, that is offered in manual only.

RX8 - woot woot! Had one of these before I stopped driving - great car. Didn't have it long enough to experience any of the problems mentioned though.
