You guys know this will never ever take off. Multiple reasons.
They wont make as much money per car with it. Batteries cost a LOT. Therefore they will prioritize their top end cars before giving any to the cheapest boy.
Silicon and battery supply shortage.
Again they will prioritize high margin cars before this cheapo.
It is likely this car will launch at a higher price than you expect -25k GBP instead of the 18k GBP suggested when converting the 25kUSD to gbp.
It is likely to also come at a smaller battery range than the S3XY crew. Probably max 40kwh or lower. Aimed for just city driving etc. With potential with a 50 or higher kwh battery but for about 30 to 35k GBP I reckon.

Well I am very fond of those pictures of that new tesla. Personally it looks better than the id3 and I would 100 percent choose it over an id3 that is just my opinion. Don't get me wrong the id3 is an impressive car but I love those photos of that new tesla, tesla is my favourite car company I am young too and if it is cheap enough too I could consider buying it as a car when I get my licence. Plus I love teslas so if I could get my hand on one of these I would be more than a little happy. I think it should be called the model Z. It was the first letter that came to mind plus it has a ring to it I think.

I-ll drive my Cummins till it dies.
Than rebuild again and again.
Till I die.
Than my kids can keep doing it like daddy did. And hopefully their kids keep the tradition.
Electric cars have their place.
Just not in my homestead.
Than we can also talk about that 6. 0 GMC Sierra that just broken in and at 220 k drives like it-s new.
My ole lady loves her Pathfinder. That thing will never die. She drives it 10km a day.
Yeah. Electric cars will be a thing of about two or three generations down the dirt road for us.

I really like the sound of this car, by the time I'm ready to get an electric car which will be after my current car so 2024, I'm hoping there will be plenty of hot hatches. I hate cross overs! I like the look of the Cupra Born, the new Renault 5 looks amazing. The New ( Tesla Model AC. Because Nikola Tesla developed 'Alternating Current' back in 1888. Or the ( Tesla Model WT. After his unfinished 'Wardenclyffe Tower' project in 1890's. I think if you name your company after someone remarkable, you should also acknowledge their work.

What if you need to repair or replace a battery that's now part of the chassis, what then? Also, how's that going to work for recycling at end-of-life? No point to making cars for a better environment when you can't recycle - that's anti environment, not pro. Unless there's credible answers to these issues then it's typical 'new' tech produced in a rush: good for manufacturer, more ownership cost for consumer, bad for environment. Not convinced yet, at all.

Another pie in the sky vehicle. We'll know that it's easy to announce new models but less easy to actually produce them. The market is screaming out for a cheap sub 20k gbp model that will do 300miles. Until that happens the take up of electric will be minimal. My money is on the Chinese to break into the market with the first truly affordable decent model. We don't need self driving, we don't need massive acceleration or loads of gadgets.

It's all good and well having expensive super fast cars like the Taycan from Porsche, Nevera from Rimac or model x or s from Tesla but for 90something % of people interested in an everyday ev cars like golf's, civics, corollas and other cheap affordable reliable cars are what people will be looking for so the cheaper, more effective and longer lasting the battery tech in ev's gets the better for all

So if the battery is performing a structural function how do you change it in future or repair if there is a fault - at a reasonable cost? Think apple and the new laptops where the battery is glued into the chassis to make it thinner - but a bugger to repair. Hope we are not headed in the same direction here. I-ll still be waiting for solid state batteries or some graphene-esque game changer.

It-s 70% more damaging to the planet making an electric car than a petrol one. It would take about 9 years of use to equal that damage of use that-s already been done just making it compared to a petrol. We are also constantly told to turn things off and change our lightbulbs-yet-we are told to plug our cars into the wall and charge them. Can anyone even work this out why it makes no sense

Wow. so this is what we have been reduced to. blubbering over the most recent fashionable invention.
And you wonder why humanity is in the state it is? Do yourself a favour - forget about all of these gimmicky distractions and instead contemplate what sort of technology we could have if our ambitions were oriented towards the mystical comprehension of our existences
