I-m starting to the think the Gold R press cars weren-t completely stock. Other than when they were first released, the golf R-s always put up slower numbers than before. Seems fishy to me

A45 engine output is almost stage 2 of Golf R but the drag race looks like Golf R is only 20ps less. I strongly believe if Golf R with a simple stage 1 tune will outperform the A45.
