I don't know why all the journalists seems to like this car so much where Toyota made some critical cuts in the car that does not suit the main buyer of these cars, the regional public. they took out the rear diff locks, reserved the KDSS for the top model only and with a singular diff lock + high and low range this car is no better than Ford Everest but are we paying 75k more. you take out the key mechanics from this car and then it is no better than any other. even the top model with all the mechanisms does not come in 7 seats - what the hell was that one, some one who can afford 150k, can also afford to have a big family.

This is the most urbanised cruiser, but it still misses that real cool factor where bigger and wider tires would make it really funky, imagine Jay Z and or Drake or P. diddy rolling in this in their music videos, sales would be crazy. Toyota needs to improve the cool factor on this car, otherwise it is now ready.

Unfortunately this car has been pulled from US market. Most folks here have been paying more and upgrading to the Lexus version of this all time classic vehicle.

Technically the GR version is a homologation car. It's the base for their Dakar T2 class racer and Toyota need to sell a certain amount of it to compete

1: 51 technically it's not a monocoque it's a unibody. Monocoques have stressed external skin while unibodys have body panels mounted over them.
