Lotus forever: we're not interested in power, our motto is lightness, it makes for good acceleration, deceleration & cornering! Lotus 2019: move out of my may Ferrari, lambo, vw, koenigsegg & all you other small scale car makers producing as few units as possible to be called a production car! We're tired of being mocked by Jeremy clarkson, so we're heading for star trek hyperdrive mode

Hi Matt, you could do a similar list but list the first cars to accelerate to 60mph within various seconds. We'll no doubt lol at the fact that no car could even reach 60 until 1920 and it took 30 seconds or something (you can probably tell I've done no research. Then we'd climax (oh hello) at the latest crazy models taking 2 secs to 60 (or whatever it is) -

The list is a little off, though. If we add in aero engine cars from the early part of the 1900s, there were cars with well over 1000 hp before WWII. It never was a problem getting a large enough engine, but finding a way to fit it into the car and sell it.

You should NOT include electric cars in this presentation. First of all it is unfair for the petrol engine cars and second electric cars are NOT cars. They are like any other home electric appliance

Why U compare petrol and electric (toster) cars?
There is not even one thing to compare those engines.
Make series with electric only don't mix them with petrol cars.

Now i wonder why you use HP(PS) instead of BHP. maybe because Bugatti Veyron have 1001HP(PS? And same with the other cars! Please start using HP/PS as standard.

As far as Iremember the Koenig Cars Ferrari Testarossa Competition car was the first production car (well, small numbers but over 20 build) with 1000 hp - in 1984!
