I had the W206 C220d for less that a year. Interior quality definitely below BMW and Audi - lots of cheap plastics rattling and squeaking.
Numerous issues with software upgrades. And safety system warnings.
ABS module failed within 10 days of taking delivery from new - took a month to replace. Couldn t drive the car as it was not safe as none of the other safety items worked.
Key fob never worked properly and the car 50% of the time couldn t detect the key to either start the car or lock/unlock.
Gearbox not the best - occasionally jerks at low speeds.
Thank goodness I don t have it anymore
The other two Germans are better buys.

New C-klasse is a great daily driver. Don't expect S like comfort and suspension, but there is more than enough power to have fun, drift a bit (with 2. 0L i4 non plug in hybrid, and still get 500+ miles on a tank of gas (though you either need to drive on the highway a lot or use Eco mode. This car is a great blend of luxury and cost effectiveness. The interior feels like a 70k+ car! This is what a C300 should be. (The new C63 is another story)

Come on guys, I know its winter in the UK and its often used as gag material for Matt, but it is actually just shockingly unprofessional to not even wash the cars before testing and filming. How difficult would it be to send 1 of your 200 staff on the morning of the shoot to just go get the car washed. The 3 series looks like it hasn't been washed since June. You're letting your otherwise stellar production values slip.

I really wish car journalist would stop focusing on how sporty a car is to pick their winner. some people just want comfort. some want reliability, some want practicality. also, have to put into consideration price differences. as the genesis was 10k lower than the more expensive car.
I still enjoyed watching this, but I can't deal with the more sporty car always winning when they aren't sport cars.

For some people it might not be the decision factor, but for the physical buttons I am choosing an Audi. I hope this nonsense trend of touchscreen only will fade away. All those safety systems and assistance today for our safety, yet it's like sure why not, let them crash couse they will constantly look on the display and try to manipulate it while driving.

Genesis and Hyundai Motor Group have really come a long way since the 80s. I'm a BMW guy but when I had the chance to drive a Genesis, I could not fault the quality of the interior nor the driving dynamics. Felt more sporty, tech-savvy, and modern compared to a Lexus. Kinda like how the old BMWs and Mercs compare.

2 steps forward, 1 step back? These are highly desired sport luxury sedans. But it's like they left the sport at home. Nobody except motor journalists launches their car. Short on ramps, 16 lane toll booths that merge into 3 lane highways, -yellow lights-. A lot of people deal with these every day.

Fake exhaust on Audi is like the worst thing you can ever imagine. It's a real deal braker!
Why they keep putting those fake pipes in bumper? I hate Audi for doing that even thouth I overall love Audi more than Benz or BMW.

I really don't understand the complaining about temp change being on display. Don't you know how to use automatic climate control? You just set the temp to some nice figure and let the automatics do the rest.

Genesis is hands down the best looking car in this lineup. By far has the best looking interior without a doubt. Also, why can't we get that full digital gauge cluster here in the United States?
