Audi's new Tesla Model S revealed!

This is the new Audi Grandsphere! It-s an all-new concept car that shows us just what the next Audi A8 could look like- And we think it looks absolutely gorgeous! The Audi A8 is the most luxurious car that Audi currently sells, so it-s no surprise that the Grandsphere takes luxury to a whole new level! On the outside, the car is crafted in smooth curves, couples with a few eye-catching sharp edges at the back. There's also a super stylish grille upfront (but of course, it's electric, so the grille isn't exactly necessary. But it-s once you take a step inside that you realise just how posh the Grandsphere is. Not only is the whole cabin made from high-quality materials, but it-s packed with a load of state-of-the-art tech, from built-in eye-tracking for the infotainment, to a load of autonomous driving features! It-s no slouch either, with two electric motors delivering 720hp & 960Nm of torque! Not only that, but it comes with a 120kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 470 miles! We don-t know the price yet, but given the cheapest EQS starts at -90, 000, you-ll be lucky to pick one up for less than six figures! The question is - is it worth it?

Slightly irritated. Nice car but like all 'show-cars', full of gimmicks. Dear Car Makers: I am not blind, disabled or limbless. I have been driving cars for over 35 years. I like DRIVING. I will NEVER TRUST a self-driving car, Period. Neither will I ever ride in one. Eye-controlled screens: Why? What's wrong with switches, I still have fingers that work? I mean. who needs this bollox? What's the Point? Would not the money be better spent on improving range and charging speed and not wasting millions on crap like that? Last point: the styling so gushed over; yes, looks nice but I can't help but remember the absolute slating Jaguar received when it launched it's XJS; the flying buttresses were universally hated (except by me, I loved the XJS, pity it was built like all British cars in the 70s- utterly shite) and yet now, because the buttresses are sleeker, dark and on an Audi, now they're cool. hmmmmm

Don-t get me wrong, I like carwow for its entertainment value (drag runs on abandoned runways are irrelevant to me in the real world though) but can we please stop reviewing fn computer animations and reading all the bs from the marketing department as if you-ve actually experienced the vehicle in reality. As i say, great for entertainment value, but how about waiting until you receive a real production vehicle and not even a pre- production vehicle - a real fn car. Your credibility just goes through the floor when u do this crap.

This concept car will never see production. If it does, it won-t look or have 90% of what is shown in the concept. It-s also funny that legacy auto jams more batteries in the car to get longer range to brag against Tesla. Meanwhile Tesla continues to improve its technology to reduce the battery size and weight while maintaining or extending the range of its cars. Queue legacy auto fanboys in the comment thread who think their brand loyalty trumps facts.

FIRST Grand Sphere, SECOND AUDI A8. EQS is just some overpriced machine that can't compete with even the Taycan and etron GT. It doesn't have the S-class and even E-class's nappa leather either and it doesn't have the s-class's rear individual recliner seat and starts with artico fake leather

Hello,
Of course the Audi's way better than the Mercedes! They need to bring this look to their new Supercar as well!
Also, what do you know about the Chevrolet Corvair? What would a Le Mans winning Tesla Plaid iteration?
Thanks,
Greg Derksen / Vancouver

Tesla is the only one that actually make the consept / prototype car looks like it (and even better) when it hits the sale. why can-t other manufacturers do the same? This Audi is just cringe hype to try to get the investors on board the sinking ship!

Interesting - Audi and Mercedes are going in 2021 with their design language for big sedans exterior/proportions the same way Citroen went with their C6 more than 15 years ago. Did anyone notice that too?

It's definately better than eqs, but they didn't leave those small subtleties that other people could recognize audi from. I mean, if there wasn't audi's logo, i wouldn't even know that it was audi

Audi vapourware. VW Goup aims to overtake Tesla in sales by 2025. They would first have to produce a single compelling car that most people would want to buy, at a resonable price. Good luck VW.

Expect a cab-forward design on all the electric cars when the car makers decide to _optimize the packaging_ of their vehicles. This concept will never be seen on the streets.
