Car sat navs can be poor even in Qashqai. Seriously get a Garmin 61 LMTD. much more informative and traffic updates excellent. Others use Google Maps on 4G (if contract is unlimited data) as apparently even better still. Ignore the idiots saying the Qashqai is boring. it is a good all round car, it has good suspension and little corner roll. My 1. 5 diesel QQ was averaging 70mpg on motorways and so easy to drive. I would always go diesel in preference to Petrol for the extra low end torque and engine life. It has enough space for 2 but if you have kids and need boot space, I would go for something larger eg X-Trail or Ford Kuga or a Tucsan/ Sportage. I dont know if Honda CRVs are any good. just like any other car now so probably ok. But best avoid CVT engines by any manufacturer. if you want Auto, I highly recommend BMW/new Mini 8 speed automatic are excellent.

We just leased a Qashqai MY2021 and I'm incredibly disappointed. They removed so many features on it, even when you choose the Tekna-version that it now lacks comfort and safety features that most other cars have as standard or at least when you choose a higher trim.
Our Tekna-version lacks:
- Blind-Spot Warning
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Assisted Steering
- Assisted Parking
- Pro- Pilot
Instead they upgraded the seats. And the only difference between the second highest trim and this one is the seats, wheels and headlights. It's not very often a new MY is worse then the previous. And one could think that, with a whole new Qashqai coming they would load the latest of the old version with a lot of extras as a -Final edition- also for people interested in buying a later year model in the future.

Never buy a Nissan Qashqai timing chain issues and after that new engines are needed. Appalling air conditioning new condenser needed every two years. Parking sensors fill with water when it rains and it thinks your parking when you drive Nissans answer was to drill holes in the bumper to stop the water ingress. Watch out for the warning signs oil consumption that-s the start of your Nissan journey enjoy - PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Sorry Nissan but you need to honour the people who bought the faulty cars you produced with Renault building the engines and fitting the piston rings incorrectly. If at least one person reads this and it stops them buying one I am a happy man. Nissan Cash bye bye

It's a good car BUT I just discovered a softwarebug during testing this morning. When you turn off the ESP/TRC the Cruise Control still works while in most cars it doesn't. Anyway I drove it on the absolute limit with the ESP/TRC turned off and when I then wanted to activate the Cruise Control again it did not work but the little Cruise Control-sign on the small display started to flash. Huh? Why do I always spot things which other car journalists don't?

Matt come on. you think a Skoda or a VW SUV (maybe except the Touareg full option) is more exciting as far as the interior goes than this. all European cars are septic and have no imagination. dull and black. Japanese and Koreans really know how to make interiors for this price range. not to mention quality is better than a VW and will not break on you. and the option for 6 years full warranty in Europe. that's something European cars cannot rival with.

I am driving this car for three years straight. The inside might be a lil bit boring and did not match the good looks, but the most important part is the reliability. On top of that the affortable service costs.
I can only complain about the performance. Nissan do not sell this great car with a powerful engine. 180 - 200 bhp and higher torque would be great, to have some extra sauce on the streets. Especially on the country roads to overtake.

I currently drive a Qashqai as a rental, and I must say I'm impressed. Its engine is VERY punchy, push the accelerator and it speeds faster than a sports car! It is very smooth in changing gears and overall drive. The only problem is that I find the design. a bit generic, but it's atleast better that what Toyota would've done!

In the US -Rogue Sport- version there is only one engine choice, which is a bit disappointing, one would think there would be a market for more alternatives. But they apparently the point is to assure that the fuel economy number is absolute to comply with the regulation no matter the model.
