Alright, let me be bluntly and brutally honest. The Ford Bronco is how one does the -Retro Vehicle Design- correctly, the new Land Rover Defender is not. Now, the Land Rover Defender does have the edge in build quality.
Edit. 1: The switches are in the middle because it makes the wiring easier to lay down and removes the risk of accidentally breaking the switches while carrying the door.
Edit. 2: If You are buying the Bronco, get the hardtop.

We are all different, so it can be fun to watch a -not so serious- review of a car. It can therefore be enjoyable to be; relaxed, and mess about a little, and be light hearted about things, but in the range of: respectability to disrespect, this review fits into the -frivolous- and -couldn-t give a toss really- band. Maybe I am becoming a boring old fart, or maybe it-s a sign of an ever increasing spiral down to the -happy clappy- crowd.

That's a lot of money for so little vehicle. The hand hold between the seats would drive me insane. What a waste of useful space. All those switches on the overhead. for what? So you can feel like you are driving a Baja buggie? Nay. This vehicle looks cool, and that's all it has going for it. Give me the original Bronco. No frills, can't kill. Excellent farm truck with no BS. This is just an overpriced pretty toy.

3 year warranties should be the minimum they can offer for the ENTIRE vehicle; if they don-t think it will make it that long, then why should anyone want it? The fact that some manufacturers don-t even take into account their outer rear mounted full sized spare into the backup camera-s configuration is appalling, we need to expect more because that-s CRAP! -

In the end this one is more -defender- than -the new defender-. In fact the -new defender- looks not just -less- but -not a defender at all- compared to this.
Do they actually import them with a wheel on the right? I thought id does not come to europe and now I-m intrigued!

Not being funny. But for the love of God, please stop equating -quality- to how squishy the plastic used in the door and dash are. That has nothing at all to do with how sturdy or reliable the car is going to be - it's just a stylistic thing.

Hooks at top front of vehicle are tie downs but also useful for branch deflection by means of attaching a cable between the tie downs and the roof rack to protect your windsheild from protruding obstacle at the sides.

Those hooks on the hood are not only for tie downs, but for running lines to the corners of the roof. This is to push branches and debris away from the windshield when on trails, protecting the driver and vehicle.

Fords don-t have gas caps so they give you that plastic funnel to use if you ever need to put gas in the car from a gas can. Without it, the spout on a gas can isn-t long enough. I learned that the hard way

Isn't 120ft a respectable stopping distance for a truck? Broncos aren't exactly sports cars with low profile street tires. Land Rover is a luxury car, Bronco is a off road truck. Few will cross shop them.
