As a current Kodiaq VRS (engine and dsg tune) and being ex Porsche sales I can confidently say that I would never have thought to take either one off road.
Reminds me of an off road event we did at the launch of the Jaguar F-Pace in Byron Bay - complete waste of time!

OK now Skoda has also this outside artificial engine noise generator?
I wait until they simulate combustion noises for ev on stock vehicles.
4 cyl engines now get V8 roumble. I suggest v10 or v12 sound for EVs.
Jes I don't like it

Love to see a 4 part land Rover off-road battle.
1, All generations of the range Rover. 2, all generations of the discovery. 3, old 90 and 110 vs new 90 and110. 4, All 3winners against each other.
It'd be like the ultimate land Rover

From the side angles going down the side slope you can see that the porsche has better tires and suspension set up you can even see the sidewall of the porsche spread and wrinkle to fight for as much grip as possible

Someone should ve gone out their way doing some research about the cars and a set of fair rules before the race, since a race can t be subjective. Skoda losing bits on the track and still receive points is just

The Porsche definitely has a hill descent control mode. Both of these cars are 4WD SUVs, not off-roaders. The most off-road the Porsche will get is parking in a field to watch the local polo match.

no hairpin test? Not bad overall for either of the cars, as both of them really not made for offroading. But they both need to perform better on a bumpy gravel road then what they did in the test.

I love the whole pointlessness of videos like this as no Porsche Cayenne (or Skoda Kodiak) owner would ever take them on an off road course like this, really addictive to watch though!

If you want to off-road race a Porsche, then get your hands on a 911 Dakar and then do a comparison between this and the Huracan Sterrato. That would be an interesting one to watch.

Porsche does have Hill Descent and engaging Off Road mode on the Skoda softens the launch and limits power and torque which is why the Kodiaq suffered on the hill climb race.

There were about 2-3 races where Matt started waaaaay after the Porsche started. Knowing how matt starts in the regular drag races, I'm wondering what happened here.
