We ve got our hands on the almighty, all-new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and it s going up against one of the most hardcore BMWs money can buy - the all-new BMW M3 CS! The question is, does this track-focused Porsche have what it takes to bring down the BMW? Well, let s take a closer look at the stats. Starting with the Porsche, it s powered by a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six that can produce 525hp and 465Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and being a track-focused car, it s super light, weighing in at just 1, 450kg! But all this power & performance doesn t come cheap, with the GT3 RS starting from 190, 000! What s more, the one we have here has the Weissach Pack fitted, so it costs around 235, 000! Then we have the BMW M3 CS. It has the same 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six as in the regular M3, but power has been increased to 550hp and 650Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car is a fair bit heavier than the GT3, at 1, 765kg. It s a fair bit cheaper, though, costing around 116, 000.

That Porsche is so chavvy, it's just to much to pop to the shop in, full on track days there isn't much this side of a senna that would touch it but glad I got the normal looking Gt3 ha ha it is not the best car in world right now, maybe top 5 for track but to be the best car in the world I believe has to tick all boxes, daily use, track, long drives and I'm sorry but I find myself always buying a M car! They tick every box especially with a bit of tuning but the main thing is Mat is that smile it puts on your face every time you drive one which tells me that you think it's the best car in the world and that's all that matters. Great car you have ordered! I'm very intrigued on where you go after the Porsche as it's so good. I'll be watching

the BMW is the winner for me! it has more power and AWD but come on, it weights much more, it has 4 seats, and it costs half the price! it s absolutely impressive that it kept up and sometimes even beaten the Porsche. Ofc the Porsche is the king on the track, but the BMW is no slouch either, it s as fast as a much lighter 992 Carrera GTS (which has practically the same straight line performance, all the while being a great daily driver with AWD, a decent trunk, 4 usable seats and plenty of tech. it s the best all rounder these days. The GT3RS is the best hard-core track-weapon with NA engine (street legal.

In a straight line wow that m3 performed, through a track we all know the gt3rs would smoke the m3. I feel like they should ve raced with the m2 competition against the porche cause its 2 doors and I think around 500-600 pounds lighter than m3

Was not expecting the races to be so close, thought Porsche would destroy the Bmw. It's surprising that Porsche can get 500+ hp out of a naturally aspirated 4L flat 6, while Bmw needs 2 turbos to get the same amount of power from a 3L inline 6

Used to be a big fan and always checked out Matt s vids but all these ultra high end exotica races seem so irrelevant I hardly bother now. Once in a while is fun but now it seems real world vids are the rarity. Keep it real Matt. Just saying

Why is people even surprised if that bmw is slightly faster. I mean it has more hp, and it has drastically less drag than rs3, but put it on a track, and that 100k more will tell all. its Porsche, the best of german engineering

The 911 looks better than the bmw 3 and i am an oldtimer bmw freak! Still the 991 for me looks better than the 992, but overall the gt3 models for me is yummmyyyy! BMW just lost that hmmm touch and it's not coming back.

The way Matt talks about DRS being active every race after the first, you'd think it got rid of all drag or gave the car more power lol. Its drag REDUCTION system, it'll only help so much on a car with lots of aero drag.

Absolutely mental that GT3RS is! It shouldnt launch and pull like that with those numbers.
I live that Matt is defending that GT3RS in any way possible he's right tho, one of the hest cars in the world!

In my opinion, you should have the person indicating the start to put down his hands at a random time after he puts them up. So that no one predicts the start and gets an unfair advantage

911 Turbo 3RS?
Why doesn t GT Porsche s have turbo? why does it have to be an entirely separate model category?

I don't know what Porsche has to do with the number of horses, the car's shape makes you feel like it's a car with more than 800 horsepower or something like that.

Everybody talking about how impressive the bmw is, nobody notice that the porche have less power, no forced induction n more aero n still able to hold its own

As much as the M3 is amazing, and to some degree, punches above its weight against the GT3RS, reality is on a race track, The GT3RS with smoke the M3.

Brother matt GT3RS didn't build to do a drag race, if you want a complete win take that M3 to a circuit and you will definitely take that M3 down

When Bmw makes a CS they're very serious about it. This M3 is 300 kg heavier and only 25 hp more. It shouldn't be able to keep up with the gt3 rs.

I would prefer the GT3 Touring; not a great fan of race cars for the road. I am a big fan of real race cars though, don't get me wrong.
