It baffles me when someone expects a cleaner to undue 120, 000 miles of gum and varnish in 1 tank of gas. LOL True it might be false advertising but the instructions didn't say it would clean a car engine with 100, 000 miles in one treatment. Also not the first time I've seen ChrisFix say a cleaner treatment cleaned some of the cylinders and then later poopoo'd it for not cleaning (can't have it both ways Chris. I like your enthusiasm Chris but you cannot expect a pristine clean engine after you've driven it for over 100, 000 miles.

I watched pretty much every single kind of car fixing video/other dumb little projects to cars and I have learned how to rebuild engines as in removing pistons, putting new rings on, replacing head gaskets and much more on YouTube and I feel you are the only one that puts your heart and soul into working on cars, your videos are amazing, keep up the passion for working on cars! I love your drift stang too

This product is more of a preventative, rather than a restorative agent. If you used the product every oil change on a new car from day one, you might be more pleased with the results. In order to remove the major carbon build-up, the product would have have greater solvent agents in it and that might cause the cylinder heads to wear down with increased friction.

Hey Chris, I'm from Malaysia, just wanna know, some expert here says RON100 petrol grade in Malaysia can provide excellent engine cleaning action for better protection as it reduces corrosion. On top of that, it also said can use the Petron Blaze 100 as a cleaning agent to remove carbon build-up in engines after long trips. Do you think that's true?

From personal experience from over 30yrs of use I can vouch for Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO) as the best all around engine lube/ fuel system maintenance and remedy additive on the market for both effectiveness and cost. Everything runs better and gets better mileage almost immediately! You can't beat it for the money.

I remember my mechanic had my engine on a table rebuilding it. He sent the head to be machined. I proceeded to clean the exposed pistons. The old build up felt like stone. I used a flat head screw driver and mallet to break it up a little. There is no way any detergent can do the job.

So if you been using this for a while and been using it from the start of your engine I'd assume it would always clean out all your funny carbon keeping it from solidifying and keeping it clean great for when you get a brand new car and use it for every oil change

What I do is remove spark plugs.
Use gummout spray and spray some inside the cylinders.
Let it work over night.
In the morning re install the spark plugs and use as normal.
Gummout spray will make the carbon curl overnight.

Great video - takes time to do what you did to show us proof. thanks a mill. Perhaps with older vehicles the key is to add with every full tank fill up & time frame of 6 months to clear out the large thick deposits?

iF. it worked too fast it might eat up your motor. lol. I think it takes time to get all that heavy stuff out, then once it does, it keeps it clean. Nobody wants something that will damage your car! Common sense
