How to Reset Low Tire Pressure Light (TPMS)

The Tire Pressure Monitoring system light will let you know when your tire pressure is low and when your sensors are malfunctioning. In this video I show you how to find the correct tire pressure (door sill sticker, find the low tire, inflate the tire, and also inspect all of the tires. For every 10F the pressure will change 1psi and in this case, Fall has a large change in temperature and it triggered the TPMS light. If the low tire pressure light is flashing, this is usually due to low batteries. The batteries should last from 5-7 years or around 100, 000 miles. Unfortunately the only way to replace these batteries is to take the tire off the rim. In 2005 the US Government told the car companies to get ready to have all their cars include a standard TPMS and in 2007 it was required for every new car to have TPMS. Here is a link to the awesome tire pressure gauge I used

I was a little excited that you had a video specifically about a Ford Fiesta and the TPMS, which I have issues with at the moment. Anyway, you need to do a trick with the brake pedal and ignition to get it into TPMS reprogramming mode and then use a strong magnet on each sensor (located near the stem) or get a proper code reader that can perform the reset. The horn will sound when it enters the reprogram mode and when each tire sensor is reset.

My light has been on for years, I always check my pressure every month, I even bought the tool to reset the sensors, I know I have a bad sensor but the dealership wants almost 300 just to find the bad one, lol, don't think so. Thanks again for a great video.

To reset TPMS you fill each tire to tire pressure recommended in owners manual or sticker displayed inside drivers side door jam, then push TPMS reset button (find location of button and instructions in your owners manual.

On my car, when I use the TPMS sensor, it works for all tires except just one. Any idea on why that may be happening? If the sensor in the one tire is messed up, do you have any videos on how to replace it?

What if your tires are inflated to proper operating range per vehicle specs and the Low Tire Air is on and doesn't come off, how do you fix that or do you just need to fully replace the tire sensors?
reply

Every one reading you should let all air out of your tires before the change of seasons so the air is not too hot or cold inside your tires which could cause premature ejaculation tire failure

So I was thinking. The door jams tire pressure and the hand book are for oem wheels? What if I got mudding tires. Would it be the same?
