I feel like the most important thing about fixing project cars that are obd2 is to get a car specific reader. You may need to buy one for every car, but there well worth it when you run into a wack ass electrical problem. If your planning on getting one project car and your looking for a obd2 reader just get a car specific one. Ex. I was working on my Porsche 996 and the generic obd reader said that the crank sensor was bad and that was it. But when I replaced it and got one i know was working It still wouldn't start, in the end i got a duramertic (Porsche specific reader only 70 used eBay) used it to read the waves (crank was square and cam was round, or the other way been a long time now) on the crank sensor and quickly realized that the previous owner torn off the wiring harness and had the wires of the cam and crank sensors were soldered it back in wrong and tada got a running car in 2 hrs of redoing the wires.

Uhh, can I add something to the off-road list? A Jeep Wrangler is actually surprisingly hard to come by, but a 90s F-150 sure isnt. Theyre everywhere and super easy to work on, I myself have my own and my buddies either have a 150 or Bronco. We all tear up the Nevada deserts and mountains like no other, if you need to fix them just look at any junk yard, youll find like 20 of them. Plus the aftermarket for them is insane, and if youre handy with a welder the possibilities are endless

It's very easy, just need moneyIf you didn't born in a rich family, you'll need to study, when you are studying you don't have the money, when you finish your studies, you will start to work with a low wage. When you start to get some money, you will get married and start a family, buy a house and after that you don't have the time or money to have a project car. And forget cheap tools, they will wear out faster than your broken car.

Also, take advantage of the 'free' tool rental programs that some auto parts stores have, like Autozone and O'Reilly. For example, you can get a ball joint press, pay a deposit, and then you get that deposit back when you return the tool. Or, bring the parts to an auto shop and sometimes they'll do it for you for a fraction of what it would cost if you'd brought your entire car to the shop.

Love the video big fan of you guys. But I just have to say. You forgot to add breaker bar to the tool list. And also add caution to buying harbor frieght tools. certain tools are fine from there but other ain't. Also feel like the video is slightly misleading. The money part specifically.

I'm sure this series will be a blast to watch, but please, stick with the basic tools you showed us. Don't be that kind of guys who says everything is possible with a few items and then starts using professional grade stuff. Keep up with the great work: )

Thank you for this. I needed this motivation. Ive been wavering on whether or not to buy this 2007 335i and install an aftermarket turbo kit and exhaust and do some cool mods to it, after watching this, I think Im going to finally buy it.
