In my search of a sporty car that I think gets a lot of unwarented hate, especially with earlier models looking like a girly car, that you can get for under 10k: The Audi TT. Sure, it may not have the largest engines and the Mk2s are automatic only, you can find Mk1s with manual transmission and a 6 cylinder for fairly cheap. To add a small extra bonus, it comes standard with a single turbo and comes with either FWD or AWD. Also, if you want, they also come in a convertible if you so choose (though the rollover mortality rates on convertibles, get a roll cage. The Mk2s, you get sightly more horsepower but otherwise is the same car but had some minor aesthetic differences. By the time the value of some of the newest Mk3 goes down, you can get one with a slight body modification and have anyone who doesn't know any better think you're driving around an Audi R8. It is literally one of the cheapest sports cars out there for no real reason and can still be fun to drive. (Also, for everyone who thought TT stood for Twin Turbo; it stands for the Tourist Trophy races way back when it was a big thing in the mid 1900s)

Buick Verano Turbo. Funny thing, as long as its not raining, that the Suburu WRXs have nothing but excuses when faced with this iconic badge for the 50+ genre. Acceleration is brutal, the ride is comfortable. Nissan Skylines dont like it and the price has become reasonable. The Verano Turbo is the only car with unexpected acceleration that has had two different dates force me to pull over so they place their lunches on the tarmac. (Unfortunately, it was after they had already eaten it)Why is it so overlooked? Maybe if it looked as cool as an Opel VXR the cops would notice too. Thanks for overlooking it, and the GXP Soltice (the mechanical spirit guide of the Verano Turbo.

i feel like the scion tc1 should have been at least an honorable mention. there's a lot that can be done to it. its style is ahead of its time and the the 2az-fe can be made to handle 1khp. but with a little ingenuity, drive train swaps have been proven possible; and can be done for under 10k with inclusion of purchasing the car. just sayin'.

92-99 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, can be got for 1000-3000; comes with the supercharged L67 3800, engine has a huge aftermarket, will run forever and is easy to work on. Plus a manual swap is fairly common in the Bonneville circle. Honestly it's one of the best options out there. youtu. be/0v8PHCPAGro youtu. be/n9wCyec6RdE

I picked up a 110, 000 mile 2004 GTO M6 for 8500 out the door from a DEALER. Only issue is fading paint and interior rips from sun exposure. It's absolutely frightening how affordable performance is getting these days. Thankfully I've only almost crashed once and I'm not dead yet

Hey Donut fans, I'm about to go car shopping in the next week or so. Right now I'm stuck between 350z's and z4's. Just wondering if anyone had any insight on what its like to own or daily either of these cars and had an opinion on which is a better purchase. Thanks in advance.

You could get a 2010 Lexus LS460 for 10k that has a 380hp v8, AWD, posh interior and exterior, superb reliability, and to top it all off, people will think you're loaded, because they sold this thing from 07 to 17 with few changes, apart from the interior.

Good amount of nice early 2000's mustangs around the 5-8k range, and just look for a while, and you can find just about any honda/ford/chevy/nissan/TOYOTA from there down in the same age range. Go up to 10k, and you'll find much nicer of the same thing
