The Citroen CX is a crazy car with amazing quirks. Today I m reviewing the Citroen CX and I ll show you all the weird quirks of this unusual French luxury car. I m also driving the Citroen CX, and I ll show you what it s like behind the wheel of a weird 1980s Citro n! arcadeuk: French cars (especially Citreon and Peugeot) always seemed to be years ahead of everyone else, I used to drive Peugeots when I was younger and the level of standard equipment was incredible. Sadly the build quality is abysmal on French cars (especially Renault) and they have nothing but problems. If they had invested in quality as well, French cars would have given the Germans a run for their money

Reviewing such cars is a bit out of Doug's bailiwick. 'Prestige' isn't written there for fun, but rather to indicate that it's the long-chassis version for maximum rear seating space. If you want massive storage space, you'd go for the station wagon version. His remarks on the flatness of the trunk just don't make any sense; my 2019 has one and it's very practical. He basically just read us the wikipedia article on this car while passing everything through the filter of oh look how weird and quirky everything is, which I found tiresome. It's also interesting to hear such strong concerns about the power of the motor in a country known for its unreasonably low speed limits.

I'm surprised that for an 80's european car, it has quite many features. I knew that it has adjustable suspension, but I didn't know that it can rise so high, it looks like a car from a Disney movie. How about the steering, does it have power steering? Is it coming back so fast even on highway speeds? I don't found it very safe if yes.

The prestige was the long wheel base model. and that's why there's so much room in the back. As for the speed grid, it used to be glued in the small rectangle of which you see it's location at the bottom right of the stick. Seems to have disappeared. And not sure the shades in the back are original ones. I think they've been added.

In those older Citroens one could order a switch operated two horn system: one horn for use within, one for use outside city limits. Not a bad idea, but accidentally using the really loud fanfare within city limits could lead to a fine. I guess that's why they eventually dropped this option.

I may be wrong. but I feel like I learned this about some certain Citroen s a while back. Is this the car that has the back wheels close together so that if there is a flat it can drive on 3 wheels? I know there s a spare but I feel like I learned that about a car with a similar shape.

My dad had a 1978 (I think) model of this, with the speedometer display being a rollerball. We once got blocked in (parking) by a merc. to which my dad raised the suspension and because he had a tow-bar, pushed it back and drove off. I was wide eyed. he just responded 'Their tough sh t

After all the extremely odd decisions made in this car displayed in this video, when Doug went around the back to show off the hatchback and revealed it's a normal trunk, I damn near threw my computer out the window! What kind of bs is that Citroen?

Such cool Video, love when you review old cars with a great past but now forgotten from mostly everyone. I wish you could review a old Fiat Panda model, the square one, surely not quirky but it would definetely be a great video.

In Europe 170hp are a LOT considering that nobody can have more than 250hp because in some countries like in Italy we have something called superbollo. Having a car over 250hp makes you pay over 1000 every 6 months or more
