I specced out a mid trim Maverick with the 2. 0 AWD and some options (including the FX4 pack, the bed extender and some water guard thing, bringing the price right around 30000. Apparently this truck is _cheaper_ than the 2. 0 AWD Escape by 3000! Granted, the Escape SEL trim required for the 2. 0 engine probably has more features than this truck?

The only things I dislike are the grill and the tailgate. I prefer the bronco sport grill over this one. And the tailgate capacity seams low. Going to be hard to find two adults that weigh less than 300 pounds. They should beef that up a bit.

Don't know who would still need a truck at this size like actual truck people rarely go to the ranger let alone something smaller, just is clearly made for non-truck people or someone who doesn't use a truck for professional things.

The hybrid is cool, but it seems like the ICE version just has so much more practicality. The hybrid would be good for someone who literally just needs a pickup bed and nothing else

And it will be a failure by not offering a regular naturally aspirated gas engine. Hybrids are extremely expensive to fix when they break and turbocharged EcoBoost engines are garbage

I wonder if the front end from the Bronco Sport would bolt right onto this, because I don't think the headlights and grille are very attractive. Reminds me of an older Chevy Equinox.

I'll give Ford some props on that rear speaker placement, not sure how well it helps or if its annoying for rear passengers. but as a driver it should sound better.
