Time for a Doug DeMuro garage update! Major roadtrip ahead for my green Land Rover Defender, along with a few issues, check engine lights, and breakdowns for the other cars. Here are a few recent happenings in Doug DeMuro's garage with my vehicles. Skip6235: I 100% agree with you, Doug. I don t commute to work by car, so reliability doesn t really matter. I also don t have kids, so practicality doesn t matter. A car is just a toy for me, so I want something fun and cool and unique. If it strands me on the side of the road, that s just the price of doing business.

Totally get your point on reliable cars. I have the luxury of my boss allowing me to commute in the work van (which is a 15min drive) so reliability is not that high a priority for my personal cars. I own an old Audi wagon as well, a C4 with the I5 TDI and it rarely breaks but when something happens to the engine its complicated and expensive to fix even though I do most of the repairs myself. Gladly the only major issue with the engine was a leaky injection pump which could be rebuilt. Got it installed and dialed in perfectly, and with 5 new injectors I have a 26 years old Diesel engine which starts perfectly, has good power and does not smoke at all. Not even a little bit.

Doug is the kind of guy who goes to Madd Dogg's mansion to review a Lamborghini.
Also, great response to Scotty (it's something that even he admits very occasionally.
: Watched a couple of his videos during 2020 (was on my recommended for a loooooong time as I did my best to resist due to the clickbait); I could almost forgive the clickbait, but his post-election (and 1/6/2021) titles put me completely off.

Four European cars and one American car! Its time to own an Asian car Doug, preferably Japanese car. But I love that you don't have a (batteries on four wheels house appliance, aka Electric Car) which they insist to call it CAR

Reliability is key when you re the average person with:
-1 car and not a fleet
-commute to work everyday
-don t have the luxury to spend big bucks at dealerships, towing, etc.

people talk about toyota's reliability because its only thing to talk about it. i would rather take more care of a interesting car instead of owning a overrated overpriced crap toyota

When you have countless cars you don t worry about reliability. If you have 1 car reliability is critical. Doug is a bit out of touch. Don t let the t-shirts fool you.

I feel this video should have been uploaded to More Doug Demuro, I think this content does not belong here (though, maybe the views stats tell a different story)

Here in Australia, we have a saying:
If you wanna drive into the desert, get a Land Rover. If you want to come back, get a Landcruiser.
