2022 Ford Maverick review! The 2022 Ford Maverick is an affordable, practical small pickup truck. The Ford Maverick is blazing a new trail in the truck world, and today I'm going to show you the quirks and features of the new Ford Maverick. I'm also going to drive the new 2022 Maverick and show you what it's like on the road

My dads been looking at one, he's a electrician, currently working out of a 2017 Nissan Rouge. With 104k Miles. He really wants one of these, sadly Ford dealerships aren't letting the people that need a cheap truck order these. Our local Ford dealership has like over 100 orders reserved, but they want to add on like 15K on if you order one through them. And he just can't get financed with that. Low credit score, currently 5k upside down on his rouge, and all the extra dealer markups make these impossible to get for the working people that actually need a small cheap truck. And I can't help. I drive a 1000 Lincoln LS.

I ordered a hybrid xl with tow hitch and spray in bed liner back during the first couple of days of ordering. It was meant to be 100% an extra utility vehicle. With the giant delay from June with still unknown delivery for my truck, I've had enough time to decide there is a better way to spend 24k than to get a 3rd vehicle we really don't 'need'.
Still really excited for these and will look once we need to replace a vehicle and not as an extra.

Hey Doug, what do you think about splitting the Quality rating into two scores: Quality and Reliability, each with a score of 1-5? Obviously, newer vehicles would be harder to rate on reliability and likely require using the historical reliability of the brand and particular model, but it's easy enough to calculate with cars that are a few years old and I think it's important enough to not be weighted by the quality of the fit and finish.

Hard to say new kind of truck, when there were Helux s in Afghanistan/Asia/Europe in 2009(that I saw. It was a small, affordable truck. Obviously it was offered before that I m just not familiar with them. To say it is a new kind of truck for the US market might be more accurate. I m not hating but the idea doesn t strike me as new.

This may have an affordable MSRP but I bet you anything dealers will slap an extra 7000- 10000 on top as a mArKEt AdJUsTmEnT like they do with everything that is even most slightly little itty bitty bit offroady/truck like or sporty. I really hope they dont because I love the idea of an affordable small truck

I think its also made for the EU market. and yes 26k isnt expensive at all. these are the prices in europe for second hand cars and then you have a goldcart sized car!
A standard entry model SUV costs 55K and more here in Europe. and a damn electric hatchback costs 70k euro's.

Doug, the reason the tailgate mounts up higher or tilts is so that you can put a 2x4 across the wheel wells and carry 4 foot wide sheets of drywall so they re supported equally high enough front and back. A big thing you missed.

Affordable pickup.
Meanwhile in Mexico (where they make them) they're selling them only from the XLT and up, making the truck start at around 26, 000 USD
We want the affordable trims of the maverick here!

It would be neat if Ford offers an Adrenaline Package like they did for the Explorer Tracs. Considering how similar the two trucks are in styling, and size.
(2004+ Tracs to be specific)

Finally something affordable is exist in this crazy market, funny thing is dealership s mark up on some of luxury cars is more than the whole price of this truck.
