I really like your reviews and like most of its competitors, the Rav4 has all the safety tech and Toyota offers most of it even on its base model. Being taller, I wish the 2019 Rav4 hadn't lost 1. 5 inches of front legroom over the 2018 model, both the Forester and Rogue have more than 2 inches more than this new rav4 and offer the same safety tech. Also, you didn't mention the loud, buzzy engine noise that most all other reviewers have commented on. I'd get the Hybrid, as it gets additional noise dampening material (quieter, higher MPG (almost 40) and more horsepower (almost 15hp more.

9: 47 37, 000 for an average new car now. That's crazy. Less than 10 years ago, you could get a fully loaded Rav4 for around 30, 000. Now most of these compact SUVs max out around 39, 000, but wages have been pretty stagnant the past decade. Basically, they are charging an arm and leg for all that extra tech, because there really is no other reason for such a big price increase. This Rav4 is no bigger than the 2011 with the V6 engine option. Actually, the 2011 was an inch longer and had more rear leg room. This new one is only 1. 5 inches wider with about an inch more cargo volume.

We just ordered our new Rav4 the other day and it get's delivered next week: ) The moment I test drove the Rav4 I was sold, the amount of safety kit you get in even the base model just can't be beat and with a little 1 year old that was at the top of my must-have's. It also ticket the great boot space box which anyone who has a big pram will know is important if you don't want to be playing Tetris every time you go shopping. P. S. That rubber flooring in the boot actually flips and it is carpeted on the other side so you can choose rubber or carpet.

My 2019 Rav4 XLE AWD drives well, handles well, gets 31 mpg around town and has no blind spots. My complaint would be the loud engine and the squishy feeling transmission, compared to my wife's 2015. It may not be a attention grabbing sports car, but it does everything it is supposed to. Doug's grading system is flawed, however. Vehicles should be compared in their class. A supercharged 6. 2 Liter Corvette and a 2. 5 Liter Toyota acceleration comparison is absurd.

Very uncomfortable for tall people to drive. I'm 6'1 and had to pass on this car. The console panel is way to wide, digs right into your knee making it painful and difficult to keep your foot on the gas pedal. If you just as tall as I am, don't buy this car, you'll regret it. It's not built for tall people, I don't know who they build it for.

Honestly did not like these when they first came out. However, got one as a rental and I really ended up liking it Surprisingly roomy, great gas mileage even with a fully loaded car (camping trip, only complaint was that the regular low beams aren't the best, which is unfortunate because they're LED headlights.

I would be out buying this model right now if so many people weren't complaining about the transmission. The hybrid does not have this problem, but although it is supposed to only cost 800 more, they are actually selling close to full price while the ones with the shitty transmission are discounted heavily.

This is the 1st year of the new RAV4 model. Dont buy yet. Wait a couple years to see. That new 8 speed transmission is going to cost you 8K if it goes out at 70K miles and youre out of warranty. And why is anyone listening to the shill anyways? Hes just a hype boy for anyone wholl buy him a soy latte.

Well, it IS NOT the best in class. Starting with its faulty ESP system and its slow responsive AWD system. The interiors are cheap compared with models like the CR-V, and in spite it does not uses CVT, the performance is not best, it is noisy and the ride is not on par with the competition.
