The 2022 Kia EV6 is a futuristic electric crossover - and today I'm reviewing it! I'm going to take you on a thorough tour of this new Kia SUV and show you all the quirks and features of the EV6, and I'm also going to drive the 2022 Kia EV6 and review the driving experience.

So, I recently spent some time in the Kia Ioniq 5 and I must say I disagree completely with you on the infotainment. It is absolutely terrible and here are just a few reasons why (the first one is basically the most important one if you are actually considering buying this piece of technological garbage):
- the navigation doesn't plan charging stops (I was on 80% and instead of suggesting to charge the empty battery on the way, it told me to go to a charger, charge to 90% and drive to where I needed to go with 15% remaining. what)
- Features and settings are all over the place or hidden in sub categories
- the map overall is unusable
- there are playful images and animation in an attempt to mimic teslas gimmicks which take up space desperately needed to display actual information (just look at the hideous radio information at 7: 26 1234, authentic, star, live, sirius, sxm. again what)
- there wasn't any space for O and E in POWER but you can show me how a connector from 2000 looked like
- CHG for charge? so we are not only leaving out consonants now?
- menus: EV is styled terribly but at least there are some infos but it stops there; you might think that navigation menu is redundant with the map but no, you need both to operate it, voice memos in a car? please get a calculator, alarm clock and mcafee in there as a standard app just to make sure, valet mode doesn't change anything relevant, quite mode. come on, hd radio data should be redundant with radio right? right? you get the idea, setup only sets up stuff that isn't set up in the app (like radio for example) itself, the users manual makes sense as you will absolutely need it

I think climate control has a good logic. Since after you choose a temperature, you can leave a rest of work to climate control.
Most of the time I never regulate climate control, whole year around I choose 22 degrees, and climate control doing a rest of work.
But it would be good idea to add a small function (in addition to standart button, like if you want to regulate volume, you just rotating volume regulator.
But if you squeeze a little this regulator it will become temperature regulator, if you stop squeezing it, and just touch gently, it will become volume regulator again.
And they could add some vibration feedback in this regulator, so it can vibrate like a 3d touch on touch screen of iPhone when you squeeze it. And click again when you stop squeezing it

And about front trunk small storage area, this small storage area can be used to storage some tools, gloves, or tyre compressor and etc.

Honestly, why should a crossover be sporty? Think about it. If the car is reasonably fun to drive that's what people want. Sometimes car reviewers want more sport in a car and rate it lower than they should. And if you think of the performance Teslas, for instance, they ride more uncomfortably than the standard models that already ride firmly. This isn't an Alfa Romeo. It's a comfortable, value EV with a measure of sport and I think it's outstanding and will prove popular. It may also be getting a lot of EV of the year titles.

As someone who used to sell Kia exactly when they did their big redesign and really stepped up the quality, I am still so disappointed in their new logo every time I see it. That being said, they continue to kill it as far as interior design goes (especially on higher trim levels) and this one especially looks like what movies of the late 90's/early 2000's thought that cars of 2020's would look like inside. The Lucid car you reviewed was another one like that.

Tesla has the blind spot camera feature after a recent software update. The Kia does it better. The image is clearer and in the driver s line of sight.
Disagree that the push button roll feature isn t appealing. My garage is tight. It s challenging getting two vehicles spaced inside for easy access to both.

Oh my god. When are old car review guys going to realize that manual buttons don't matter. It's like guys who complain there's no tape decks or cd players. We get it, you are old school. Do we have to talk about it every single time it's not exactly the way you want it to be with the buttons!

Interesting how you have it stacking up to the machE vs other reviewers who own the machE. after I spent a little time in the machE premium I left relatively underwhelmed by it in general, hoping I don't feel the same in the ev6 since I have an FE coming soon for my long term driver.

I personally don't mind the switching climate/audio control screens. I have temperature climate on my car just as the EV6 and I basically set it to 66 degrees F year round. I seldom touch it. The heated/cooled seats are different controls which is a smart move on Kia's part.

Who buys a KIA EV when a Tesla model Y is less than 10k more and has a whole lot more superior tech, supercharging network, better performance and much higher resale value? The non luxury brands are losing the plot and trying to become something they never will be.

i absolutely LOVE that audio/cclimate system. i touch my climate control settings maybe once a week, modern cars have auto climate control and its one of the few things in a car that works. this just means theres less ugly buttons. heaps good
