I have a CLK63 Black Series and I LOVE the stealth mode of the exterior. Yes, most probably think I've added a ridiculous body kit to a CLK, but I don't care. Most overlook it (unlike driving a Ferrari, Lotus or McLaren) and there are times when I like that. Then they hear the exhaust note when I accelerate and they have second thoughts. It's all about the DRIVE. In over a year of ownership, I've gotten motioned at (roll the window down, pull over, can I look at, etc) a handful of times by people who knew what it was and all of them said it was the only one they; ve ever seen. The DTM. well, I appreciate it's quirks and uniqueness, but I just don't have room in the garage or driveway for stuff I can't actually drive.

I use to own this same car brand new in red. It made the carbon fiber stand out so much more. how is this the only one in the us? When I bought mine right off the showroom floor with all the ropes around it & how the dealership still has the pictures of me with the car & leaving with mine. Mercedes Of Danbury CT, 100 Federal Rd. Yes it was for show but thats how they got me to buy mine On how rare it is & SOOOOOOOOOO ON. the only problem was the insurance, I was dropped & finding another company was almost impossible So I sold it & bought a Lexus LFA.

You can come to the UK but it will have to be a comedy as I am stuck with a DONT LAUGH. A180 AMG in Jupiter red with black wheels it looks really cool but when you drive it you will never guess this is a Merc. it's so slow it's scary. no dab radio no sat nav the quietist sound system you never did hear. it feels like it has no suspension. but great brakes I want my ford focus 1. 0 125hp back I miss it loads. I let my wife part exchange it for this 2015 Renault powered fake Merc without going with her but I still luv her.

The second toggle switch in the center console marked EDW has nothing to do with the stability control/traction control. All those are under the ESP module, i. e. the left switch marked ESP. The EDW is basically the alarm system in the vehicle, which has vehicle-lift detection which can be turned on or off with this switch. EDW would stand for Einbruch Diebstahl Warnanlage.

I've seen this on a couple of your videos now where you're giving older cars less of a score based on modern standards. That's not a fair comparison, of course cars of the modern era are going to have more power and contain more technology etc, but they should be judged based on when they were manufactured not against cars of today.

The reason you don't want racing harnesses in your street car is neck injuries. A three point steet belt allows your body to rotate and slow down in a crash, where a harness holds your torso in place while your head keeps moving. It's why HANS devices are mandatory in racing and why Dale Sr. died hitting the wall.

Doug I've watched supercars being built on cable and they always seem to use some modern super epoxy when placing carbon fiber body panels together That a side. I would not buy any brand of car for 450, 000 dollars if the first time I drive it made squeeking noises I'm sorry but huge fail and knowledge on your part

This is surprising from you Doug, you forgot that: 1: you can program the key to open the drivers door only by clicking once and both doors by clicking twice. 2: the doors lock automatically when you drive away. If my 2009 B200 can do it, any other Mercedes after that should be able to do the same: )

Im tempted to get a CLK500, fabricate a body kit, get a similar looking spoiler, some cool wheels, and a supercharger. Then take the 500 badging off so I can have a neat little custom CLK and there we go. Then Id say. This is the closest Ill ever get to the real DTM lol.
