80 k for a Furd, Not me buddy. Too many problems with the Furd to warrant anything above it being given to me, then I would still be hesitant. I drive Dodge trucks and do my own maintenance since it left the dealer and I have been few problems. Screw the warranty or recalls, I'm intelligent enough to deduce and correct factory problems plus I don't trust the dealer mechanics but I would Never, never buy, drive or trust anything Furd motor company makes. Remember, Furd partnered with Harley Davidson to produce a truck. On well, one junk company supporting another junk company so I guess it appropriate. It's Mopar or nocar for me and yep I get over 250k miles on my Mopar vehicles. Laugh as you will but I get that mileage outta the Dodge truck before I sell it with high mileage but still in good condition. Then I go buy another Ram truck, tell the salesman that I'm paying cash, don't need the bells and whistles and not interested in the useless warranty they have. I then drive it home, change all the fluids to my own brands of fluids, check all the fasteners with a torque wrench and then I put blue locktite on all critical fasteners. Works for me, so much for the Furd tough selling point.

Rural areas use trucks not because its a status symbol but because its practical. Heavy duty trucks are built better. they last longer they take less damage over rough roads. If you live in the country you often have to drive long distances to get things and you cant get things delivered. So you need a truck. And you need one that will last hundreds of thousands of miles. Smaller cars the suspension will get chewed up on a lot of country roads. But the heavy duty trucks barely even notice bad roads. If you want luxury comforts and live in the country you cant expect a lincoln or mercedes to last anywhere near as long as a truck. Just one of those things.

Hey, you said it's an F-150 but it is obviously an F-250. Also, you are wearing two tee-shirts. Practicality 8 out of 10? You're not including practicality to the wallet, since this truck costs more than twice what any new car I've bought has cost. And all of those could haul my yearly bags of mulch for the house just fine. Ok, I'll admit that I had to borrow a sister's minivan to move a piece of furniture _once_ that this truck would have made a trivial move, but that was once. But paying a 35 dollar delivery fee or borrowing a sisters vehicle once is not less practical than paying 80k for a truck.

Doug: For that price, you could get a used Porsche. Me: u wot m8? That is NOT a step up. These are both very overpriced vehicles and I don't recommend that anyone buys either of them. If you want a good diesel tow pig, get a Cummins Ram 3500 with DUALLYS for around half this price. It has something that this Ford lacks: an exhaust brake. Never buy a dedicated tow beast at full price without one. The Cummins is also a lot more tolerant of sub-prime diesel than the Ford. A lot of RVers take their Fords to Mexico and the Mexican diesel puts them on the side of the road.

There is currently a Raptor for sale for over 175, 000 There is also a crash test between the F250 and a Focus. The bumper of the truck took out the driver. The bumper is so high, it missed all airbag sensors on the truck when impacting the car. Also, the truck is a killer. That focus was hit at driver level, and the entire interior was destroyed including the driver. The bumper was just about the same height as the driver's head. The F150s aren't as tall.

Well I had a 2013 F250 lariat and it was nice but it had its problems. lots of problems I had her for about 6 years and when I traded her in she only had 33, 000 miles. between the DEF freezing in the winter and the constant regeneration of the Exhaust system and the constant electrical problems it was a good truck. and the one main problem was the Diesel not ever station had it but finding clean diesel was hard to do.

Environmentalists must HATE this vehicle It's prob way bigger than a Hummer and people shoot daggers out of their eyes when they see one. I wouldn[t doubt that it would be vandalized every time you park it, Lefty's are lunatics. They won't allow you to enjoy having an awesome vehicle any more than an animal lover will let you enjoy a nice coat, preferring instead to toss a can of red paint at you.

I disagree with the styling score. The aggressive appearance should give it an 8 at least. Next, I can drive a 1999 f350 7. 3L diesel engine crew cab with the long wheel base and 8ft bed anywhere and park in just about any place in a parking lot. Once you start driving trucks, you never want to go back to normal cars for both the amazing visibility and authority you feel on the road.

The crazy think about diesels is how much untapped performance they have from the factory. You can chop them and get huge HO gains AND much styled fuel economy at the same time. But you will roll coal and wont be able to get it inspected in California, but if you live somewhere else youre good. I knew a guy with a HUGE lifted F250gh on 40 inch tires that got 27 mpg on the HWY.

that visor cannot do something the one in the 1995 S10 I had could do, Extending panel on the visor that swung around and then behind it was a second visor for the windshield so you could have front and side at the same time. I have never again seen that and since the truck was used I to this day have no clue if that was an aftermarket thing or a rare run GM option.
