SAVVY LLC The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2RS is the craziest Porsche 911 of all time. Today I'm reviewing the new GT2RS to show you why it's such an insane car -- and why the GT2RS is such a brutal, special performance car

No Doug you havent been keeping up with the times. With the windows it has been proven that due to years and years of development, they for many years now can produce a power window lighter than a manual window. Reason being is that the motor is very small now and light weight. They make it stationary and have the small and light weight plastic strip notched and glued right to the window. So when up or down is pushed the motor spins the direction of choice and it just pushes along that 1/4 inch wide 1/8th inch thick notched plastic strip and the window moves up and down the guides. With a manual window you have the 2 very large and heavy pieces of metal that scissor with a central pivot and 2 stationary points at the other end. In some cars more than twice the weight from manual to power. So thats why the power windows are there. They are much lighter than a manual. Now the very old version of a manual window had a rod sticking through the door panel with a knob on it. You gave a little arm a twist to the left and it would squeeze the rod in place and the window didnt move. If you wanted to lower it you gave a twist to the rt and grab the lever. You lift it to where you want it to stop and gave the lever a turn to the left and tightened the clamp handle down on the rod. So you had a slot that ran about 14 inches vertically through the door panel. and had a wooden knob on it. the lever at the top tightened down on it or loosened it. There was no regulator.

Around 10 years ago GT2 stopped getting love and they started pushing the GT3 which is less powerful, I don't know why. Anyone knows the difference between the two today? And ps, 300k on this generic Porsche? when I could get a 335i for less than 100k miles for less than 20k spend just 5k on a bigger turbo, exhaust and a few bolt ons and vuala 650hp, that will kill anything factory production on the road and track including many supercars. Sorry but, value for money, Porsche just doesn't do it for anyone except snobs.

I don't mean to start a thread of hate. But why do people like alcantara? 20: 17 the glove box looks like ass. I just think it looks like the opposite of clean because of the different ways the fabric can flow when touched. If I had an alcantara interior I would be obsessively rubbing it all in the same direction in an effort to correct that. If there is an argument that the material is superior for driver comfort on seats, then I'd say please limit it to the seats, not trim and accents.

fun fact. Porsche actually HATES cup holders in their cars. But installs them for the Americans. Porsche concept is, The car is for driving and driving serious. If you are drinking your huge American 711 big gulp in your Porsche, well. Porsche just rolls their eyes. and I agree, why have a sticker badge and carbon fiber and fabric hand holds, when the car has cup holders and power windows. silly.

For me it's the only true performance vehicle, I say this with complete confidence. The genius engineers at vw are among the only billionaires I would truly bow down to aside from noble prize winners, donators, surgeons and such. It's just incredible how hypercars compare to each other but this thing is just 2 steps ahead. Thug life 911 and Nissan GTR: P

Hmm. I couldn't really tell by sound what was glass and what was plexiglass by the knocking. guess I'm not a true porschephile. or a pedophile for that matter. also. since only 70 year old millionaire s can afford this, I'd bet temp display is more important than time. because either retired or own their own business, so time isn't important.

It looks like it's doing 60 mph just sitting there. 700 hp. ouch. Does it have a UFO engine in it; Damn You could race a flying saucer. They do say that Hitler had that technology. lol. But on the real; Germans do it better. From the Sherman tank to this Monster Mobile. Thank the car GODs for this JEWEL of a machine. PERFECTION is THIS

My 2007 Cayman S has the same cupholders. The most genius part is that they position your drinks directly in front of the dash vents. So, when it's hot outside and you have a cold drink, the AC keeps your drink cold. When it's cold outside and you have a hot drink, the heat keeps it hot. It's really brilliant and works well.

Obviously the fuel cap is aluminum saving weight, the side vents are carbon i mean come on minuet details is a must review this caliper of car. It should be quick but smooth real gear head lingo. Keep the ooo ahhh as one of the comments said owners manual viewers. So its a balance. Just my 2 cents

Fun fact, the german part on the fuel cap is butchered. heavily. first of all it is spelled Klick, not click like it is on the cap and the grammar is wrong too, it would be Drehen bis es klickt (or Drehen zum klicken if you want to translate the english version from the cap exactly): P
