SIGN UP FOR TURO A used Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a great financial decision. Today I'm reviewing a 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor to show you why a used Ford Raptor is a great decision -- and why a Ford Raptor is a good purchase

Okay so. You're telling us that this a a good buy, and yet you do not own one yourself (or at least you used a rental for the video) Most trucks never really lose their value; its not a raptor thing. Why not buy a raptor? Well, it's a Ford. Enjoy spending half the cost of the trucks in just to maintain it. Buy a Toyota and enjoy both retaining its value AND only having to do normal maintenance like oil changes, timing belt and water pumps. which the last two only really need to be done ever 90k miles and cost about 200 bucks

Best financial life decision anyone can ever make. Live in the city for 10 years or more and live in a apartment with a good job such as being a Semi Truck Driver. Save as much money as possible for those ten years then move to a small mountain town and fully pay off your house. Buy that truck as well then just have a part time job at some restaurant or something and just enjoy your life. Go hunting, fishing, four wheeling, mountain biking, ect.

Every performance vehicle holds there value quite well Ford raptor, Dodge hellcat, demon. If you want one thin go for it but it's not a financial edge over other car's you are going to pay more for performance vehicles no matter what look at the old school muscle cars and nobody knows what the future is going be like for these performance vehicle's in 20 to 30 year's they can be worth nothing at all

I dont follow your logic of saving money paying 45k for a 2013 used truck with 69k miles. I would prefer to pay for that used truck that retained only 33% of its value to use your own words I end up paying less for a truck. But paying for a truck that does not depreciate is not a good financial decision unless you buy to resale. Maybe I am missing something here but you analysis does not add up.

I would argue your styling, fun, and cool scores. Its an absolute blast off road, and has far more character then the new ones. The grill and hips on the truck tell you this one is special. The redesigned grill opening made It far too easy to mistake a new one for a regular F150. I never get out of a gas station without someone asking about mine.

I feel bad for raptors they are bought by idiotic teenagers who think their raptor is invincible and try to make them go through rivers or try to go through walls and destroy the truck and throw it in their yard to rot and I would gladly buy and fix up a raptor to drive through sand like their intended purpose. Anyone agree?

Just not worth the money, new or used. It's a good truck with good features, but 45K used with 70K on it? No, hell no. And I don't know who's product they're smoking with regard to the buy it new prices, but it must be some real quality stuff, because they have definitely lost touch with reality.

Those wheels are 2012 base wheels. That thing should have the SVT beadlocks on it. My 2012 has the beadlocks, thank you to the previous owner. And so everyone knows the Gen 1 Raptors are the best. Im biased. P. s. get those cube fog lights outta there, Rigid or nothing, I say nothing. OEM

This video is old but one of the biggest things you are missing is the fact that the prices of trucks have gone way up, so a higher end truck will depreciate at a lower rate if the prices of trucks go up. Also most trucks hold there value, especially higher end more sought after trucks.

Yea what he is saying is true, but as soon as it hits 100k and at 70k its not far off value will drop substantially. Not only that, 100k truck is hard to sell, thats not a diesel. 100% disagree with this video, love Doug. He is wrong on this one.
