In this episode of Mighty Car Mods, the boys crack some more power out of the MY09 Subaru Forester XT with a portable flash device. But first they need some supporting mods and some time on the dyno, which surprises them with some unexpected results

For a SUV it looks pretty good, and this comes from a Nissan owner, i'd rather buy that Forester than a Murano or Juke but who wouldn't.
Qashqai is 50-50 against the Forester, Forester's engine is most likely harder & more expensive to work on around here while Qashqai would be a lot easier & cheaper to work on + more durable, also no turbo.
But well, if you just want one car rather than having a sports car & a practical car, that Subaru is probably better choice, AWD, 2. 5 turbo and so on.

Hey guys i have a question for you that means a lot to me! Im trying to focus on nissan and wrx as far as building and tuning. There are many stand-alone types but. Im looking for programs that support the two makes or even nissan/subaru specific per say. Hp Tuners is a badass program with many makes supported but its all domestic you see my problem? I want full versatilitylity to be able to tune my nissan and wrx builds. Whats out there!

you just dumped a load of cash on a shitty exhaust system lmao. why would you even expect it to have more power than stock when it sounds almost exactly the same. Moog man. i garuntee i could build a faster em1 than your s2k with the same amount of cash. bolt on exhausts are made to gain power without having to flash or dyno tune.

You have remove the first cat closes to the turbo and get a bell mouth 3 inch down pipe and your oil feed line and your oil pump dont pit to much oil in the turbo but your turbo is straining and change your front radiator to a all aluminum racing one with 220 coils and you will jave huge difference you need help hit me up?

Hey guys. old video. question. I have a turbo charged 1. 5L Toyota Echo Sportivo (sleeper clearly) and I also live in Australia. Although i have one, are the atmospheric blow off valves illegal? If so, is there a get around so you still get the performance with reduced noise? Thanks guys.

you can not change anything on a subaru without an ecu tune. it makes it really hard to modify them because it means you need to put more money upfront to do all modifications at once then tune it. when its much more customer friendly to add things a piece at a time and feel advantages.

i want to increase horse power, brakes, exhaust and if i have enough money, perhaps consider a turbo upgrade? can anyone tell me if these upgrades are possible. Any suggestions as to what this would cost. I live in
nyc so an installer with experience would be appreciated.

Always great but I have a question I have never seen addressed. IF I did a flash tune on my auto, would an increase in engine power affect the durability of restrained parts? Would the reliability and durability suffer from this mod? I can't find an answer?

When I get bored I go to my local mechanic. and they tell me it's hard labor and how much time and how hard it is. i have myself a good laugh. then go home and fix it in 30 minutes or so for 50 bucks. we all need to be educated in cars, or else.

I have a 2010 forester xt and did my intake, exhaust, intecooler, fuel pump and a custom dyno and only got 149kw out of it so not much more power with a custom tune: ( I then put a vf52 on it and got 192kw so it was a happy ending after all
